[Machine] "Suhayb, also known as Abu Yahya, was Suhayb ibn Sinan al-Namari from the tribe of Namir ibn Qasit. He was captured and taken as a prisoner and ended up in the land of the Romans. It is said that Suhayb al-Rum (Suhayb of the Romans) reached the age of seventy years. He used to dye his hair with henna. He passed away in Madinah in the month of Shawwal in the thirty-eighth year and was buried in Al-Baqi' cemetery."  

الحاكم:٥٦٩٩أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ

«صُهَيْبٌ يُكَنَّى أَبَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ صُهَيْبُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ النَّمَرِيُّ مِنَ النَّمِرِ بْنِ قَاسِطٍ وَكَانَ أَصَابَهُ سَبْيٌ فَوَقَعَ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ» فَقِيلَ «صُهَيْبُ الرُّومِ بَلَغَ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَكَانَ يُخَضِّبُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ مَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي شَوَّالٍ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ»
