[Machine] "He read the Quran, then he paused at its doubts (unclear verses) and made what is halal (permissible) for him, and what is haram (prohibited) forbidden for him." When he was asked about Ammar, he said, "He is a believer who forgets, and when reminded, he remembers." When he was asked about Hudhayfah, he said, "He was the most knowledgeable among the people about the hypocrites." And he mentioned the rest of the hadith.  

الحاكم:٥٦٣١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَابِسٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ عَلِيٌّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ

«قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ ثُمَّ وَقَفَ عِنْدَ شُبَهَاتِهِ فَأَحَلَّ حَلَالَهُ وَحَرَّمَ حَرَامَهُ» وَسُئِلَ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ فَقَالَ «مُؤْمِنٌ نَسِيَ وَإِذَا ذُكِّرَ ذَكَرَ» وَسُئِلَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ فَقَالَ «كَانَ أَعْلَمَ النَّاسِ بِالْمُنَافِقِينَ» وَذَكَرَ بَاقِي الْحَدِيثِ
