[Machine] Because he was attacked by his people and spilled blood, he fled to the city and swore allegiance to the Bani Abd al-Ashhal, so his people called him al-Yaman because he swore allegiance to the Yemenis. Hudhayfah witnessed it along with his father Husayl and his brother Safwan at the Battle of Uhud. As for his father, he was killed by some Muslims that day, thinking he was one of the polytheists, so Hudhayfah gave his blood money to the Muslims. As for Hudhayfah, he witnessed the events with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after the Battle of Badr and lived until the beginning of the caliphate of Ali for a period of thirty-six years. Some claim that he was in the cities for forty-five years after the assassination of Uthman for forty nights.
