[Machine] I was with Abu Darda when a man from the outskirts of the city came to him and asked him. Abu Darda informed him that Abu Dhar was heading towards Ar-Rabadhah. So Abu Darda said, “We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. If Abu Dhar had cut a limb or a hand from me, I would not have slandered him after I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'The green plants have not shaded anyone or the barren land has not been made fertile by anyone who speaks more truthfully than Abu Dhar.'" Strong chain of narration.  

الحاكم:٥٤٦٧حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شمر بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَأَلَهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَسِيرٌ إِلَى الرَّبَذَةِ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَطَعَ لِي عُضْوًا أَوْ يَدًا مَا هَجَّنْتُهُ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا أَظَلَّتِ الْخَضْرَاءُ وَلَا أَقَلَّتِ الْغَبْرَاءُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ أَصْدَقَ لَهْجَةً مِنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ» سنده جيد
