[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped the inside and outside of his ears. Ibn Mas'ud used to order for the same. Zaidah bin Qudamah is considered trustworthy and reliable, as he narrated this from Thawri and others have also confirmed it.  

الحاكم:٥٣٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ بَالَوَيْهِ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ بَاطِنَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَظَاهِرَهُمَا» قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يَأْمُرُ بِذَلِكَ «زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ قَدْ أَسْنَدَهُ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَوْقَفَهُ غَيْرُهُ» زائدة ثقة وغيره يوقفه
