[Machine] "He stabbed him in the thigh with a concealed weapon, a forbidden stab. He had the view of the Khawarij. Al-Hasan embraced him with his arm and they both fell to the ground. Abdullah ibn Dhabyan ibn Umamah al-Tamimi jumped on him and bit his face until he cut off his nose and smashed his head with a stone. He died instantly, a crushing fate for the inhabitants of Hellfire. Al-Hasan was carried on a stretcher to Madinah and stayed with Saad ibn Masoud al-Thaqafi, the uncle of al-Mukhtar. He was working for Ali in Madinah. He brought him a doctor who treated him until he recovered."  

فَطَعَنَهُ فِي فَخِذِهِ بِمِعْوَلٍ طَعْنَةً مُنْكَرَةً وَكَانَ يَرَى رَأْيَ الْخَوَارِجِ فَاعْتَنَقَهُ الْحَسَنُ فِي يَدِهِ وَصَارَ مَعَهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَوَثَبَ عَلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ظَبْيَانَ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ التَّمِيمِيُّ فَعَضَّ وَجْهَهُ حَتَّى قَطَعَ أَنْفَهُ وَشَدَخَ رَأْسَهُ بِحَجَرٍ فَمَاتَ مِنْ وَقْتِهِ فَسُحْقًا لِأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ وَحُمِلَ الْحَسَنُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ إِلَى الْمَدَائِنِ فَنَزَلَ عَلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَمِّ الْمُخْتَارِ وَكَانَ عَامِلَ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى الْمَدَائِنِ فَجَاءَهُ بِطَبِيبٍ فَعَالَجَهُ حَتَّى صَلُحَ ؓ »
