[Machine] They said to my father, "Peace be upon you, O Mahdi." He replied, "Glory be to Allah! Did I not prevent you from this? The Mahdi is only those whom Allah, the Almighty, guides."  

الحاكم:٤٧٠١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ قَالَ

قَالُوا لِأَبِي يَا مَهْدِيُّ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمْ عَنْ هَذَا؟ إِنَّمَا الْمَهْدِيُّ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ ﷻ»
