[Machine] "A Bedouin asked the Prophet ﷺ about fasting on Mondays. The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'That is the day I was born and the day on which revelation was brought to me.' This hadith is considered authentic according to the conditions set by both Sheikh Al-Bukhari and Sheikh Muslim. They did not include it in their collections, but instead, Muslim cited a hadith from Shu'bah, as narrated by Qatadah, with this chain of narration, stating that fasting on the day of Arafah expiates sins of the previous year and the year to come, based on the conditions set by both Al-Bukhari and Muslim."
