[Machine] I saw the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, standing on the pulpit. He said, "Ask me before you are unable to ask me, and you will not ask anyone like me after me." Then Ibn Al-Kawwa stood up and asked, "O Commander of the Faithful, what is {By those [winds] scattering [dust]} [Al-Dhariyat 1]?" He said, "The winds." He asked, "What is {And those [clouds] carrying a load}?" He said, "The clouds." He asked, "What is {And those [ships] sailing with ease}?" He said, "The ships." He asked, "What is {And those [angels] apportioning each matter}?" He said, "The angels." He then asked, "Who are {the ones who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief and settled their people in the home of ruin, Hell} [Ibrahim 28]?" He said, "The hypocrites of Quraysh."  

رَأَيْتُ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَامَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ «سَلُونِي قَبْلَ أَنْ لَا تَسْأَلُونِي وَلَنْ تَسْأَلُوا بَعْدِي مِثْلِي» قَالَ فَقَامَ ابْنُ الْكَوَّاءِ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا {الذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرُوًا} [الذاريات 1] قَالَ «الرِّيَاحُ» قَالَ فَمَا {الْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا} قَالَ «السَّحَابُ» قَالَ فَمَا {الْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا} قَالَ «السُّفُنُ» قَالَ فَمَا {الْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا} قَالَ «الْمَلَائِكَةُ» قَالَ فَمَنِ {الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ جَهَنَّمَ} [إبراهيم 28] قَالَ «مُنَافِقُو قُرَيْشٍ»
