hakim:333Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > Aḥmad b. ʿĪsá b. Zayd al-Tinnīsī > ʿAmr b. Abū Salamah al-Tinnīsī > ʿAbdullāh b. al-ʿAlāʾ b. Zabr > Yaḥyá b. Abū al-Muṭāʿ > al-ʿIrbāḍ b. Sāriyah al-Sulamī > Qām

[Machine] I heard Al-Arbaad bin Sariyah Al-Sulami saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once stood among us during a morning gathering and delivered a powerful sermon that made our hearts tremble and tears flow from our eyes." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, you have delivered to us a farewell sermon. Advise us." He said, "I enjoin upon you the fear of Allah, and I presume that this is what I have been ordered to advise you. And listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave were to rule over you. For surely, he among you who lives long will see great conflict. Therefore, hold fast to my Sunnah and the sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs after me. Bite onto it with your molar teeth and beware of newly invented matters (in religion), for every innovation is a misguidance." And among these innovators is Ma'bad bin Abdullah bin Hisham Al-Qurashi, and the way to him is not a condition of this book. So I left him, although I have diligently researched this hadith and have written about it, as Imam Shu'bah mentioned in the narration of Abdullah bin Ata' from Uqbah bin Amir when he sought it in Basrah, Kufa, Al-Madinah, and Makkah. The hadith then returned to Shah bin Hawshab, who left it. Then Shu'bah said, "For me to narrate a hadith like this one from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more beloved to me than having my parents, children, and all the people." And this hadith is authentic, and all praise is due to Allah, and may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his family.
