BAYHAQI 12910:
from Khaṭab ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb —
[Machine] "And others of you say for those who are killed in your wars or if someone dies, 'So-and-so is a martyr,' as if he had distributed his belongings in charity, with sincere intention, or said, 'For the sake of trade.' Do not say that, but say as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever is killed in the cause of Allah or dies, then he is in Paradise.'"
البيهقي ١٢٩١٠:
عن خطب عمر بن الخطاب —
وَأُخْرَى تَقُولُونَهَا لِمَنْ قُتِلَ فِي مَغَازِيكُمْ هَذِهِ أَوْ مَاتَ قُتِلَ فُلَانٌ شَهِيدًا وَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أَوْقَرَ دَفَّتَيْ رَاحِلَتِهِ ذَهَبًا أَوْ وَرِقًا يَبْتَغِي بِهِ الدُّنْيَا أَوْ قَالَ التِّجَارَةَ فَلَا تَقُولُوا ذَاكُمْ وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ مَاتَ فَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ
