[Machine] "When a funeral was brought for him (the Prophet), he would place the family of the deceased in three rows, and he would pray over them. He would say, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No three rows of Muslims pray over a deceased except that they will be granted forgiveness."' This wording is a narration of Ibn Ulayyah in the wording of Al-Mahbubi, 'Except that he will be forgiven.'"  

وَكَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِجِنَازَةٍ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا فَتَقَالَّ أَهْلَهَا جَزَّأَهُمْ صُفُوفًا ثَلَاثَةً فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ عَلَيْهَا وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا صَفَّ صُفُوفٌ ثَلَاثَةً مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ إِلَّا أَوْجَبَتْهُ» هَذَا اللَّفْظُ حَدِيثُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ فِي لَفْظِ الْمَحْبُوبِيِّ «إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ»
