[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Adam was a tall man." He mentioned a long hadith, in which he said at the end, "Leave a gap between me and the messengers of my Lord, for indeed you have brought this to me." So they took his soul, washed it with water and sidr (a type of herb) three times, shrouded it, prayed for him, and buried him. Then they said, "This is the Sunnah (way) for your children after you." This does not explain the hadith of Yunus ibn Ubaid, for he is more knowledgeable about the hadith of Al-Hasan from the people of Madinah and Egypt, and Allah knows best.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كَانَ آدَمُ رَجُلًا طُوَالًا» فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلًا وَفِي آخِرِهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «خَلُّوا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رُسُلِ رَبِّي فَإِنَّكِ أَدْخَلْتِ عَلَيَّ هَذَا فَقَبَضُوا نَفَسَهُ وَغَسَّلُوهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ ثَلَاثًا وَكَفَّنُوهُ وَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَدَفَنُوهُ ثُمَّ قَالُوا هَذِهِ سُنَّةُ بَنِيكَ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ» هَذَا لَا يُعَلِّلُ حَدِيثَ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْرَفُ بِحَدِيثِ الْحَسَنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمِصْرَ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ
