37. Book of Etiquettes (3/3)
٣٧۔ كِتَابُ الْأَدَبِ ص ٣
that when the Prophet ﷺ would sneeze, he would cover his face with his hand or with his garment, and muffle the sound with it. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2745)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا عَطَسَ غَطَّى وَجْهَهُ بِيَدِهِ أَوْ بِثَوْبِهِ وَغَضَّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ»
[Machine] "The first part of the day's sleep is a waste, the middle part is creation, and the last part is foolishness." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summarization.
«نَوْمُ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ خَرْقٌ وَأَوْسَطِهِ خَلْقٌ وَآخِرِهِ حَمَقٌ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
[Machine] He was on a journey and came back and hurried to his family at night. Then he found something sleeping with his wife, so he took a sword. His wife said, "This is so-and-so who was combing my hair." Then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not touch women at night."
أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَدِمَ فَتَعَجَّلَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ لَيْلًا فَإِذَا شَيْءٌ نَائِمٌ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ فَأَخَذَ السَّيْفَ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ هَذِهِ فُلَانَةُ مَشَّطَتْنِي فَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذُكِرَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَطْرُقُوا النِّسَاءَ لَيْلًا»
"There is no forbearance except for the one who stumbled, and there is no wisdom except for the one who has experience." (Dai'f) (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2033)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا حَلِيمَ إِلَّا ذُو عَثْرَةٍ وَلَا حَكِيمَ إِلَّا ذُو تَجْرِبَةٍ»
