[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go with Ma'iz ibn Malik and stone him." So we went with him to Baqee' al-Gharqad. By Allah, we did not tie him up or dig a hole for him. Rather, he stood and we stoned him with bones, pottery, and gravel.  

الدارمي:٢٣٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «انْطَلِقُوا بِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَارْجُمُوهُ» فَانْطَلَقْنَا بِهِ إِلَى بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَوْثَقْنَاهُ وَلَا حَفَرْنَا لَهُ وَلَكِنْ قَامَ فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالْعِظَامِ وَالْخَزَفِ وَالْجَنْدَلِ
