[Machine] Mu'adh ibn Jabal said, "The Quran will be spread among the people until women, children, and men read it. A man will say, 'I have read the Quran, yet I am not followed. By Allah, I will act upon it in their midst so that I may be followed.' So he acts upon it among them, but he is not followed. Then he says, 'I have read the Quran, yet I have not been followed. I have acted upon it in their midst, yet I have not been followed. I will create a mosque in my house so that I may be followed.' So he makes a mosque in his house, but he is not followed. Then he says, 'I have read the Quran, yet I have not been followed. I have acted upon it in their midst, yet I have not been followed. I have made a mosque in my house, yet I have not been followed. By Allah, I will bring them a hadith that they will not find in the Book of Allah, Glorious and Exalted, and they have not heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that I may be followed.' Mu'adh said, 'Beware of what he brings, for what he brings is misguidance.'"  

قَالَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ يُفْتَحُ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى النَّاسِ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَالصَّبِيُّ وَالرَّجُلُ فَيَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ قَدْ قَرَأْتُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعُ وَاللَّهِ لَأَقُومَنَّ بِهِ فِيهِمْ لَعَلِّي أُتَّبَعُ فَيَقُومُ بِهِ فِيهِمْ فَلَا يُتَّبَعُ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ قَرَأْتُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعْ وَقَدْ قُمْتُ بِهِ فِيهِمْ فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعْ لَأَحتَظِرَنَّ فِي بَيْتِي مَسْجِدًا لَعَلِّي أُتَّبَعُ فَيَحْتَظِرُ فِي بَيْتِهِ مَسْجِدًا فَلَا يُتَّبَعُ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ قَرَأْتُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعْ وَقُمْتُ بِهِ فِيهِمْ فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعْ وَقَدِ احْتظرْتُ فِي بَيْتِي مَسْجِدًا فَلَمْ أُتَّبَعْ وَاللَّهِ لَآتِيَنَّهُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ لَا يَجِدُونَهُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا وَلَمْ يَسْمَعُوهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَلِّي أُتَّبَعُ قَالَ مُعَاذٌ فَإِيَّاكُمْ وَمَا جَاءَ بِهِ فَإِنَّ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ ضَلَالَةٌ
