"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to gently pat our shoulders (to make sure the row was straight) at the time of prayer, and he would say: 'Keep (the rows) straight; do not differ from one another lest your hearts should suffer from discord. Let those who are mature and wise stand closest to me, then those who are next to them, then those who are next to them."'

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَوَاتِقَنَا وَيَقُولُ اسْتَوُوا وَلاَ تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَلْيَلِيَنِّي مِنْكُمْ أُولُو الأَحْلاَمِ وَالنُّهَى ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer, and he noticed a man whose chest was outside the row. He said, 'Stand together and do not differ, for if you do, your hearts will differ.'"

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَأَى رَجُلًا خَارِجًا صَدْرُهُ مِنَ الصَّفِّ فَقَالَ اسْتَوُوا وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pass through the row from one side to the other; he used to set out chests and shoulders in order, and say: Do not be irregular. And he would say: Allah and His angels bless those who are near the first rows. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 664)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا وَصُدُورَنَا وَيَقُولُ «لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصُّفُوفِ الْمُقَدَّمَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wipe our shoulders during prayer and would say, "Do not differ, lest your hearts differ."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيَقُولُ «لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to align our shoulders during prayer and would say, "Do not differ, for your hearts will differ."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقِيمُ مَنَاكِبَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيَقُولُ «لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to straighten our rows during prayer and would say, "Do not differ, so your hearts will not differ."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقِيمُ مَنَاكِبَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَيَقُولُ «لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wipe our shoulders and say, "Stand up and do not differ, for your hearts will differ."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا وَيَقُولُ «اسْتَوُوا وَلَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ»

Let those of you who are sedate and prudent be near me, then those who are next to them, then those who are next to them. Abu Mas'ud said: Now-a-days there is much dissension amongst you. (Using translation from Muslim 432a)

"سوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ، لَا تَخْتَلفْ قُلُوبُكُمْ".

"لا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلوبُكُمْ".

"كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ صُدُورَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ مِنْ هَاهُنَا إِلَى هَاهُنَا وَيَقُولُ: سوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ، لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ".
