[Machine] Four people do not read the Quran: when alone, in the bathroom, while in a state of impurity (junub), and while menstruating (during their period). However, they are allowed to recite verses and the like for those who are junub or menstruating.  

الدارمي:١٠٣٣أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ

أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ عِنْدَ الْخَلَاءِ وَفِي الْحَمَّامِ وَالْجُنُبُ وَالْحَائِضُ إِلَّا الْآيَةَ وَنَحْوَهَا لِلْجُنُبِ وَالْحَائِضِ
