[Machine] The woman waits for the boy for thirty days and for the girl for forty days, meaning the postpartum period. Marwan said it is the statement of Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz, and Al-Awza'i said they are equal.

الْمَرْأَةُ تَنْتَظِرُ مِنَ الْغُلَامِ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا وَمِنَ الْجَارِيَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا يَعْنِي النُّفَسَاءَ قَالَ مَرْوَانُ هُوَ قَوْلُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وقالَ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ هُمَا سَوَاءٌ
