6. Book of Sacrifices (2/2)
٦۔ كِتَابُ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ص ٢
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited looting. Abu Muhammad said, "This is regarding the spoils of war, if they are taken before being distributed."
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ النُّهْبَةِ» قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد «هَذَا فِي الْغَزْوِ إِذَا غَنِمُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمَ»
6.24 [Machine] In the consumption of dead animals for the desperate
٦۔٢٤ بَابٌ فِي أَكْلِ الْمَيْتَةِ لِلْمُضْطَرِّ
[Machine] We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land where there is makhmasah (a type of lizard). What is permissible for us regarding animals that have died?" He said, "If you do not hunt it, do not find it dead, and do not hide it, then it is permissible for you." The people said, "They say it with a 'ha' (حاء), but he said it with a 'kha' (خاء)."
قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ تَكُونُ بِهَا الْمَخْمَصَةُ فَمَا يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ؟ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ تَصْطَبِحُوا وَلَمْ تَغْتَبِقُوا وَلَمْ تَخْتَفِئُوا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنُكُمْ بِهَا» قَالَ النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ بِالْحَاءِ وَهَذَا قَالَ بِالْخَاءِ
6.25 [Machine] In the valley, the milk is strained.
٦۔٢٥ بَابٌ فِي الْحَالِبِ يَجْهَدُ الْحَلْبَ
[Machine] "I gifted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a she-camel, and he commanded me to milk it. So I milked it and exerted effort in milking it, and he said, 'Leave some milk for the caller of the milk.'"
أَهْدَيْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِقْحَةً فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْلُبَهَا فَحَلَبْتُهَا فَجَهَدْتُ فِي حَلْبِهَا فَقَالَ «دَعْ دَاعِيَ اللَّبَنِ»
6.26 [Machine] Prohibition of killing the frog and the bee
٦۔٢٦ بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ قَتْلِ الضِّفْدَعِ وَالنَّحْلَةِ
Nafi' reported that he heard Abu Lubaba informing Ibn 'Umar that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden the killing of domestic snakes. (Using translation from Muslim 2233f)
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الضِّفْدَعِ»
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing four kinds of animals: Ants, bees, hoopoes and shrikes.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3224)
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ قَتْلِ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ النَّمْلَةِ وَالنَّحْلَةِ وَالْهُدْهُدِ وَالصُّرَدِ
6.27 [Machine] In the murder of the lizard
٦۔٢٧ بَابٌ فِي قَتْلِ الْوَزَغِ
It was narrated from Umm Sharik that the Prophet ﷺ told her to kill house lizards. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3228)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ» أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَوْزَاغِ
6.28 [Machine] In Al-Jalalah and what came in it from prohibition
٦۔٢٨ بَابٌ فِي الْجَلَّالَةِ وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهِ مِنَ النَّهْيِ
"The Messenger of Allah forbade (eating) animals that had been taken as targets, the milk of Al-Jallalah (animals that eat dung), and drinking directly from water skins." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4448)
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُجَثَّمَةِ وَعَنْ لَبَنِ الْجَلَّالَةِ وَأَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ»
