Abu Hurayrah’s hunger and later ease
We were with Abu Hurayrah, and he was wearing two linen garments dyed with mumashshaq. He blew his nose and said: “Well, well! Abu Hurayrah blows his nose in linen! I have seen myself falling unconscious between the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the house of Aishah; someone would come and place his foot on my neck, thinking that I was mad. But I was not mad; nothing was wrong with me except hunger.”
