bukhari:6469 – Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > Yaʿqūb b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿAmr b. Abū ʿAmr > Saʿīd b. Abū Saʿīd al-Maqburī > Abū Hurayrah

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, Verily Allah created Mercy. The day He created it, He made it into one hundred parts. He withheld with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent its one part to all His creatures. Had the non-believer known of all the Mercy which is in the Hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire."  

البخاري:٦٤٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الرَّحْمَةَ يَوْمَ خَلَقَهَا مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَأَمْسَكَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً وَأَرْسَلَ فِي خَلْقِهِ كُلِّهِمْ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً فَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ بِكُلِّ الَّذِي عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ لَمْ يَيْأَسْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِكُلِّ الَّذِي عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ لَمْ يَأْمَنْ مِنَ النَّارِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the believer knew what punishment Allah has in store for him, he would not desire Paradise, and if the disbeliever knew what mercy Allah has in store for him, he would not despair of Paradise. Allah has created one hundred units of mercy, and He placed one unit among His creation, and it is by this unit that they show compassion amongst themselves. And it is with Allah that the remaining ninety-nine units of mercy exist."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ مَا قَنَطَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ خَلَقَ اللهُ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَوَضَعَ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ يَتَرَاحَمُونَ بِهَا وَعِنْدَ اللهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ رَحْمَةً

السيوطي:٤٨٢٦a –

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ خَلَقَ الرَّحْمَةَ يَوْمَ خَلَقَهَا مائةَ رحمة، فأَمْسَكَ عنْدَهُ تِسْعًا وتسعينَ رحْمَةً، وَأَرْسَلَ فِي خَلقه كُلِّهِمْ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً، فَلَوْ يَعْلمُ الْكَافِرُ بكُلِّ الَّذي عنْدَ الله مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ لَمْ يَيأسْ مِن الْجَنَّةِ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤمِنُ بالذي عِنْدَ الله مِنَ الْعَذَابِ لَمْ يَأَمَن مِنَ النَّارِ".
