bukhari:502 – al-Makkī b. Ibrāhīm > Yazīd b. Abū ʿUbayd

I used to accompany Salama bin Al-Akwaʿ and he used to pray behind the pillar which was near the place where the Qur'ans were kept. I said, "O Abu Muslim! I see you always seeking to pray behind this pillar." He replied, "I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ always seeking to pray near that pillar."  

البخاري:٥٠٢ – حَدَّثَنَا الْمَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ آتِي مَعَ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الْمُصْحَفِ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ أَرَاكَ تَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ قَالَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَهَا

Salama sought to say prayer near the pillar which was by that place where copies of the Qur'an were kept. I said to him: Abu Muslim. I see you striving to offer your prayer by this pillar. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seeking to pray by its side.  

مسلم:٥٠٩b – حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيٌّ قَالَ يَزِيدُ

أَخْبَرَنَا قَالَ كَانَ سَلَمَةُ يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الْمُصْحَفِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ أَرَاكَ تَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَهَا

[Machine] "I used to come with Salamah to the mosque and pray with the cylinder that was by the Quran. So I said, 'O Abu Muslim, I see that you are keen on praying with this cylinder.' He said, 'Indeed, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying with it.'"  

أحمد:١٦٥١٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيٌّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ آتِي مَعَ سَلَمَةَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيُصَلِّي مَعَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الْمُصْحَفِ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ أَرَاكَ تَتَحَرَّى الصَّلَاةَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ قَالَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلَاةَ عِنْدَهَا  

bayhaqi:3471 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Aḥmad b. Jaʿfar al-Qaṭīʿī > ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal from my father > Makkī > Yazīd b. Abū ʿUbayd
