86. Ḥudūd (Limits and Punishments Set by Allah)

86.17 The Prophet ﷺ did not cauterize those who fought and of those who were renegades

٨٦۔١٧ باب لَمْ يَحْسِمِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمُحَارِبِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الرِّدَّةِ حَتَّى هَلَكُوا.

bukhari:6803 – Muḥammad b. al-Ṣalt Abū Yaʿlá > al-Walīd > al-Awzāʿī > Yaḥyá > Abū Qilābah > Anas

The Prophet ﷺ cut off the hands and feet of the men belonging to the tribe of ʿUraina and did not cauterise (their bleeding limbs) till they died.
