Praising Allah

Tawhid and Allah’s Oneness

• لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

lā ilāha illā allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa-lahu al-ḥamd, wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
There is no god except Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.

• لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ، وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ.

lā ilāha illā allāhu al-ʿaẓīmu al-ḥalīm, lā ilāha illā allāhu rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīm, lā ilāha illā allāhu rabbu al-samāwāt, wa-rabbu al-arḍ, wa-rabbu al-ʿarshi al-karīm.
There is no god except Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing. There is no god except Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god except Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.

• لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَلَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ، لَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ، وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ،
  لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ، وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ.

lā ilāha illā allāh, wa-lā naʿbudu illā iyyāh, lahu al-niʿmatu wa-lahu al-faḍl, wa-lahu al-thanāʾu al-ḥasan. lā ilāha illā allāh, mukhliṣīna lahu al-dīn, wa-law kariha al-kāfirūn.
There is no god except Allah, and we worship none but Him. His is the blessing, His is the favor, and His is the beautiful praise. There is no god except Allah, sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it.

• اللَّهُ، اللَّهُ رَبِّي، لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا.

allāhu, allāhu rabbī, lā ushriku bihi shayʾā.
Allah, Allah is my Lord. I do not associate anything with Him.

Praise and Gratitude

• اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، لَكَ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ،

allāhumma laka al-ḥamd, anta qayyimu al-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-man fīhinn, wa-laka al-ḥamd, laka mulku al-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-man fīhinn, wa-laka al-ḥamd, anta nūru al-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-man fīhinn, wa-laka al-ḥamd, anta maliku al-samāwāti wal-arḍ. wa-laka al-ḥamd, anta al-ḥaqq, wa-waʿduka al-ḥaqq, wa-liqāʾuka ḥaqq, wa-qawluka ḥaqq, wal-jannatu ḥaqq, wal-nāru ḥaqq, wal-nabiyyūna ḥaqq, wa-muḥammadun ﷺ ḥaqq, wal-sāʿatu ḥaqq. allāhumma laka aslamt, wa-bika āmant, wa-ʿalayka tawakkalt, wa-ilayka anabt, wa-bika khāṣamt, wa-ilayka ḥākamt, fa-ghfir lī mā qaddamtu wa-mā akhkhart, wa-mā asrartu wa-mā aʿlant, anta al-muqaddim, wa-anta al-muʾakhkhir, lā ilāha illā ant.
O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You sustain the heavens and the earth and all within them. To You belongs all praise. Yours is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all within them. To You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all within them. To You belongs all praise. You are the King of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise. You are the Truth, Your promise is true, meeting You is true, Your word is true, Paradise is true, the Fire is true, the prophets are true, Muhammad ﷺ is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, to You I turn, for You I dispute, and to You I refer judgment. Forgive me what I have sent ahead and what I have left behind, what I have hidden and what I have made public. You are the One who brings forward and the One who delays. There is no god except You.

• اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْدًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، مِلْءَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَمِلْءَ الأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا، وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَىْءٍ بَعْدُ، أَهْلَ الثَّنَاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ، لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ.

• الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَعَظِيمِ سُلْطَانِكَ.

al-ḥamdu li-llāhi kamā yanbaghī li-jalāli wajhika wa-ʿaẓīmi sulṭānik.
All praise is for Allah in a way that befits the majesty of Your Face and the greatness of Your authority.

Faith, Submission, and Reliance

Submission to Allah

• اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي بِالسَّلَامِ، فَإِنَّكَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ، يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ.

allāhumma aḥyinī bil-salām, fa-innaka al-salām, wa-minka al-salām, wa-ilayka yarjiʿu al-salām, tabārakta rabbanā wa-taʿālayt, yā dhā al-jalāli wal-ikrām.
O Allah, give me life with peace, for You are Peace, from You is peace, and to You peace returns. Blessed and Exalted are You, our Lord, O Possessor of majesty and honor.

• اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْنَا، وَبِكَ آمَنَّا، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْنَا، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْنَا، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا مَا قَدَّمْنَا وَمَا أَخَّرْنَا، وَمَا أَسْرَرْنَا وَمَا أَعْلَنَّا، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنَّا.

allāhumma laka aslamnā, wa-bika āmannā, wa-ʿalayka tawakkalnā, wa-ilayka anabnā, wa-bika khāṣamnā, wa-ilayka ḥākamnā, fa-ghfir lanā mā qaddamnā wa-mā akhkharnā, wa-mā asrarnā wa-mā aʿlannā, wa-mā anta aʿlamu bihi minnā.
O Allah, to You we submit, in You we believe, upon You we rely, to You we turn, for You we contend, and to You we refer judgment. Forgive us what we have sent ahead and what we have left behind, what we have concealed and what we have made public, and what You know better than us.

• يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ نَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لَنَا شَأْنَنَا كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنَا إِلَىٰ أَنْفُسِنَا طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ.

yā ḥayyu yā qayyūm, bi-raḥmatika nastaghīth, aṣliḥ lanā shaʾnanā kullah, wa-lā takilnā ilā anfusinā ṭarfata ʿayn.
O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy we seek help. Set all of our affairs right, and do not leave us to ourselves even for the blink of an eye.

Guidance and Uprightness

Personal Guidance

• اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي، وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي جَمِيعًا، إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ،
  وَاهْدِنِي لِأَحْسَنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ، لَا يَهْدِي لِأَحْسَنِهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ، وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا، لَا يَصْرِفُ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ،
  لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ، وَالْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ فِي يَدَيْكَ، وَالشَّرُّ لَيْسَ إِلَيْكَ، أَنَا بِكَ وَإِلَيْكَ، تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ.

allāhumma anta al-malik, lā ilāha illā ant, anta rabbī wa-anā ʿabduk, ẓalamtu nafsī, wa-iʿtaraftu bi-dhanbī, fa-ghfir lī dhunūbī jamīʿā, innahū lā yaghfiru al-dhunūba illā ant. wa-hdinī li-aḥsani al-akhlāq, lā yahdī li-aḥsanihā illā ant, wa-ṣrif ʿannī sayyiʾahā, lā yaṣrifu ʿannī sayyiʾahā illā ant. labbayka wa-saʿdayk, wal-khayru kulluhu fī yadayk, wal-sharru laysa ilayk, anā bika wa-ilayk, tabārakta wa-taʿālayt, astaghfiruka wa-atūbu ilayk.
O Allah, You are the King; there is no god except You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and admitted my sin, so forgive me all of my sins, for none forgives sins except You. Guide me to the best character, for none guides to its best except You, and turn away from me its evil, for none turns away its evil except You. I respond to You and seek Your aid. All good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I exist by You and return to You. Blessed and Exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِ احْتَرْتُ فَسَدِّدْنِي، وَإِذَا تَعِبْتُ فَقَوِّنِي، وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمُورُ فَيَسِّرْ لِي مِنْ نُورِكَ الَّذِي أَشْرَقَتْ بِهِ الظُّلُمَاتُ، وَأَضَاءَتْ بِهِ أَرْكَانُ عَرْشِكَ.

allāhumma iniḥtartu fa-saddidnī, wa-idhā taʿibtu fa-qawwinī, wa-idhā aẓlamat ʿalayya al-umūru fa-yassir lī min nūrika alladhī ashraqat bihi al-ẓulumāt, wa-aḍāʾat bihi arkānu ʿarshik.
O Allah, if I become confused, direct me; if I become tired, strengthen me; and if matters become dark for me, make easy for me from Your light by which darkness is illuminated and the pillars of Your Throne shine.

• اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنَا فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنَا فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَقِنَا شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ، إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلَا يُقْضَىٰ عَلَيْكَ، إِنَّهُ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ، تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ.

allāhumma ihdinā fīman hadayt, wa-ʿāfinā fīman ʿāfayt, wa-tawallanā fīman tawallayt, wa-bārik lanā fīmā aʿṭayt, wa-qinā sharra mā qaḍayt, innaka taqḍī wa-lā yuqḍā ʿalayk, innahū lā yadhillu man wālayt, tabārakta rabbanā wa-taʿālayt.
O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, grant us well-being among those You have granted well-being, take us into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, bless us in what You have given, and protect us from the evil of what You have decreed. You decree and none decrees over You. Whoever You befriend is not humiliated. Blessed and Exalted are You, our Lord.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي.

allāhumma ighfir lī, wa-rḥamnī, wa-hdinī, wa-ʿāfinī, wa-rzuqnī.
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me.

• رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً، وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا.

rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmah, wa-hayyiʾ lanā min amrinā rashadā.
Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and arrange for us right guidance in our affair.

• رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا، وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ.

rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā, wa-hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka anta al-wahhāb.
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. You are the Bestower.

Guidance for the Heart

• اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا، وَفِي لِسَانِي نُورًا، وَفِي سَمْعِي نُورًا، وَفِي بَصَرِي نُورًا، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي نُورًا، وَمِنْ تَحْتِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي نُورًا، وَمِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ نُورًا، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي نُورًا، وَاجْعَلْ فِي نَفْسِي نُورًا، وَأَعْظِمْ لِي نُورًا.

allāhumma ijʿal lī fī qalbī nūrā, wa-fī lisānī nūrā, wa-fī samʿī nūrā, wa-fī baṣarī nūrā, wa-min fawqī nūrā, wa-min taḥtī nūrā, wa-ʿan yamīnī nūrā, wa-ʿan shimālī nūrā, wa-min bayni yadayya nūrā, wa-min khalfī nūrā, wa-jʿal fī nafsī nūrā, wa-aʿẓim lī nūrā.
O Allah, place light in my heart, light on my tongue, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light above me, light beneath me, light to my right, light to my left, light before me, light behind me, light within myself, and make my light great.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَفِيِّ أَلْطَافِكَ، لُطْفًا تَهْدِي بِهِ قُلُوبَنَا، وَلُطْفًا تَصْرِفُ بِهِ عَنَّا مَا يُؤْذِينَا أَوْ يَضُرُّنَا، وَلُطْفًا تَدْفَعُ بِهِ عَنَّا الْبَلَاءَ وَالْفِتَنَ.

allāhumma innā nasʾaluka min khafiyyi alṭāfik, luṭfan tahdī bihi qulūbanā, wa-luṭfan taṣrifu bihi ʿannā mā yuʾdhīnā aw yaḍurrunā, wa-luṭfan tadfaʿu bihi ʿannā al-balāʾa wal-fitan.
O Allah, we ask You for Your subtle kindness: kindness by which You guide our hearts, kindness by which You turn away from us what harms or hurts us, and kindness by which You repel calamities and trials from us.

• اللَّهُمَّ بِعِلْمِكَ الْغَيْبَ، وَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ، أَحْيِنِي مَا عَلِمْتَ الْحَيَاةَ خَيْرًا لِي، وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا عَلِمْتَ الْوَفَاةَ خَيْرًا لِي.
  اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَشْيَتَكَ فِي الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ كَلِمَةَ الْحَقِّ فِي الرِّضَا وَالْغَضَبِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الْقَصْدَ فِي الْفَقْرِ وَالْغِنَىٰ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ نَعِيمًا لَا يَنْفَدُ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضَا بَعْدَ الْقَضَاءِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ بَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَىٰ وَجْهِكَ، وَالشَّوْقَ إِلَىٰ لِقَائِكَ فِي غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ، وَلَا فِتْنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ.
  اللَّهُمَّ زَيِّنَّا بِزِينَةِ الْإِيمَانِ، وَاجْعَلْنَا هُدَاةً مُهْتَدِينَ.

allāhumma bi-ʿilmika al-ghayb, wa-qudratika ʿalā al-khalq, aḥyinī mā ʿalimta al-ḥayāta khayran lī, wa-tawaffanī idhā ʿalimta al-wafāta khayran lī. allāhumma innī asʾaluka khashyataka fī al-ghaybi wal-shahādah, wa-asʾaluka kalimata al-ḥaqqi fī al-riḍā wal-ghaḍab, wa-asʾaluka al-qaṣda fī al-faqri wal-ghinā, wa-asʾaluka naʿīman lā yanfad, wa-asʾaluka qurrata ʿaynin lā tanqaṭiʿ, wa-asʾaluka al-riḍā baʿda al-qaḍāʾ, wa-asʾaluka barda al-ʿayshi baʿda al-mawt, wa-asʾaluka ladhdhata al-naẓari ilā wajhik, wal-shawqa ilā liqāʾika fī ghayri ḍarrāʾa muḍirrah, wa-lā fitnatin muḍillah. allāhumma zayyinnā bi-zīnati al-īmān, wa-jʿalnā hudātan muhtadīn.
O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as You know life is good for me, and cause me to die when You know death is good for me. O Allah, I ask You for awe of You in private and public, for a word of truth in contentment and anger, for moderation in poverty and wealth, for blessing that does not end, for comfort of the eye that does not cease, for contentment after decree, for coolness of life after death, for the delight of looking at Your Face, and for longing to meet You without harmful hardship or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the beauty of faith and make us guides who are guided.

• اللَّهُمَّ يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْأَبْصَارِ، ثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَىٰ دِينِكَ.

allāhumma yā muqalliba al-qulūbi wal-abṣār, thabbit qulūbanā ʿalā dīnik.
O Allah, Turner of hearts and sights, keep our hearts firm upon Your religion.

• اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ كُلِّ عَمَلٍ أَعْمَلُهُ، وَالطَّرِيقَةِ الَّتِي أَعْمَلُ بِهَا، سَبَبًا لِنَيْلِ الْهِدَايَةِ، وَالسَّعَادَةِ، وَالسُّرُورِ، لِي وَلِكُلِّ مَنْ أُقَابِلُهُ.

allāhumma ijʿal lī min kulli ʿamalin aʿmaluh, wal-ṭarīqati allatī aʿmalu bihā, sababān li-nayli al-hidāyah, wal-saʿādah, wal-surūr, lī wa-li-kulli man uqābiluh.
O Allah, make every deed I do, and the way I do it, a means of attaining guidance, happiness, and joy for me and for everyone I meet.

Knowledge, Wisdom, and Sound Judgment

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka ʿilman nāfiʿan, wa-rizqan ṭayyiban, wa-ʿamalan mutaqabbalan.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, wholesome provision, and accepted deeds.

• رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا.

rabbi zidnī ʿilmā.
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

• اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا، وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَسَقَمٍ.

allāhumma urzuqnī ʿilman nāfiʿā, wa-rizqan wāsiʿā, wa-shifāʾan min kulli dāʾin wa-saqam.
O Allah, provide me with beneficial knowledge, broad provision, and healing from every illness and ailment.

• رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا، وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ.

rabbi hab lī ḥukman, wa-alḥiqnī bi-al-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الْأَمْرِ، وَالْعَزِيمَةَ عَلَى الرُّشْدِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا سَلِيمًا، وَلِسَانًا صَادِقًا.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-thabāta fī al-amr, wal-ʿazīmata ʿalā al-rushd, wa-asʾaluka mūjibāti raḥmatik, wa-ʿazāʾima maghfiratik, wa-asʾaluka shukra niʿmatik, wa-ḥusna ʿibādatik, wa-asʾaluka qalban salīman, wa-lisānan ṣādiqā.
O Allah, I ask You for firmness in all affairs and resolve upon right guidance. I ask You for the causes of Your mercy and the firm means to Your forgiveness. I ask You to grant me gratitude for Your blessings, excellence in worshiping You, a sound heart, and a truthful tongue.

Taqwa, Fear of Allah, and Purification

Taqwa and Fear of Allah

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ، وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ، وَالْبُخْلِ، وَالْهَرَمِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ.
  اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا، وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا، أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا.
  اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ، وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ، وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-ʿajz, wal-kasal, wal-jubn, wal-bukhl, wal-haram, wa-ʿadhābi al-qabr. allāhumma āti nafsī taqwāhā, wa-zakkihā anta khayru man zakkāhā, anta waliyyuhā wa-mawlāhā. allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min ʿilmin lā yanfaʿ, wa-min qalbin lā yakhshaʿ, wa-min nafsin lā tashbaʿ, wa-min daʿwatin lā yustajābu lahā.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, old age, and the punishment of the grave. O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it; You are the best to purify it. You are its Protector and Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, a heart that does not humble itself, a soul that is not satisfied, and a supplication that is not answered.

• اللَّهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مَا تَحُولُ بِهِ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَعَاصِيكَ، وَمِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ جَنَّتَكَ، وَمِنَ الْيَقِينِ مَا تُهَوِّنُ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا مُصِيبَاتِ الدُّنْيَا.
  اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنَا بِأَسْمَاعِنَا، وَأَبْصَارِنَا، وَقُوَّتِنَا مَا أَحْيَيْتَنَا، وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنَّا، وَاجْعَلْ ثَأْرَنَا عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا، وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَىٰ مَنْ عَادَانَا، وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبَتَنَا فِي دِينِنَا، وَلَا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا، وَلَا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا، وَلَا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُنَا.

allāhumma iqsim lanā min khashyatik mā taḥūlu bihi baynanā wa-bayna maʿāṣīk, wa-min ṭāʿatik mā tuballighunā bihi jannatak, wa-min al-yaqīn mā tuhawwinu bihi ʿalaynā muṣībāti al-dunyā. allāhumma mattiʿnā bi-asmāʿinā, wa-abṣārinā, wa-quwwatinā mā aḥyaytanā, wa-jʿalhu al-wāritha minnā, wa-jʿal thaʾranā ʿalā man ẓalamanā, wa-nṣurnā ʿalā man ʿādānā, wa-lā tajʿal muṣībatanā fī dīninā, wa-lā tajʿali al-dunyā akbara hamminā, wa-lā mablagha ʿilminā, wa-lā tusalliṭ ʿalaynā man lā yarḥamnā.
O Allah, apportion for us fear of You that comes between us and disobeying You, obedience to You by which You bring us to Your Paradise, and certainty by which You make worldly calamities easy for us. O Allah, let us enjoy our hearing, sight, and strength as long as You keep us alive, and make it our inheritor. Let our retaliation be against those who wrong us, and grant us victory over those who oppose us. Do not make our calamity in our religion. Do not make this world our greatest concern or the limit of our knowledge, and do not place over us those who will not show us mercy.

• رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلَا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ، وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلَا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَىٰ لِي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَىٰ مَنْ بَغَىٰ عَلَيَّ.
  رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَكَّارًا، لَكَ ذَكَّارًا، لَكَ رَهَّابًا، لَكَ مِطْوَاعًا، لَكَ مُخْبِتًا، إِلَيْكَ أَوَّاهًا مُنِيبًا.
  رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي، وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي، وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي، وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي، وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي، وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي، وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ صَدْرِي.

rabbi aʿinnī wa-lā tuʿin ʿalayya, wa-nṣurnī wa-lā tanṣur ʿalayya, wa-mkur lī wa-lā tamkur ʿalayya, wa-hdinī wa-yassiri al-hudā lī, wa-nṣurnī ʿalā man baghā ʿalayya. rabbi ijʿalnī laka shakkārā, laka dhakkārā, laka rahhābā, laka miṭwāʿā, laka mukhbitā, ilayka awwāhan munībā. rabbi taqabbal tawbatī, wa-ghsil ḥawbatī, wa-ajib daʿwatī, wa-thabbit ḥujjatī, wa-saddid lisānī, wa-hdi qalbī, wa-slul sakhīmata ṣadrī.
My Lord, help me and do not help against me. Grant me victory and do not grant victory against me. Plan for me and do not plan against me. Guide me and make guidance easy for me, and grant me victory over whoever wrongs me. My Lord, make me deeply grateful to You, often remembering You, fearful of You, obedient to You, humble before You, often sighing to You and turning back to You. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, make my proof firm, guide my tongue, guide my heart, and remove rancor from my chest.

Purifying the Heart and Intentions

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْ خَطَايَانَا بِمَاءِ الثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّ قُلُوبَنَا مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَبَاعِدْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَانَا كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ.

allāhumma ighsil khaṭāyānā bi-māʾi al-thalji wal-barad, wa-naqqi qulūbanā mina al-khaṭāyā kamā yunaqqā al-thawbu al-abyaḍu mina al-danas, wa-bāʿid baynanā wa-bayna khaṭāyānā kamā bāʿadta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib.
O Allah, wash our sins with snow and hail water, purify our hearts from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt, and distance us from our sins as You have distanced the east from the west.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ، وَقَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ، وَدُعَاءٍ لَا يُسْمَعُ، وَنَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَرْبَعِ.

allāhumma innā naʿūdhu bika min ʿilmin lā yanfaʿ, wa-qalbin lā yakhshaʿ, wa-duʿāʾin lā yusmaʿ, wa-nafsin lā tashbaʿ. allāhumma innā naʿūdhu bika min hāʾulāʾi al-arbaʿ.
O Allah, we seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, a heart that does not humble itself, a supplication that is not heard, and a soul that is not satisfied. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from these four.

• اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الرِّيَاءَ، اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ أَعْمَالَنَا مِنَ الرِّيَاءِ، وَقُلُوبَنَا مِنَ النِّفَاقِ، وَأَلْسِنَتَنَا مِنَ الْكَذِبِ، وَأَعْيُنَنَا مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ.

allāhumma jannibnā al-riyāʾ, allāhumma ṭahhir aʿmālanā mina al-riyāʾ, wa-qulūbanā mina al-nifāq, wa-alsinatanā mina al-kadhib, wa-aʿyunanā mina al-khiyānah, fa-innaka taʿlamu khāʾinata al-aʿyuni wa-mā tukhfī al-ṣudūr.
O Allah, keep us away from showing off. O Allah, purify our deeds from ostentation, our hearts from hypocrisy, our tongues from lying, and our eyes from treachery, for You know the treacherous glance and what hearts conceal.

Good Character and Inner Discipline

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أُرَدَّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدُّنْيَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-bukhl, wa-aʿūdhu bika mina al-jubn, wa-aʿūdhu bika min an uradda ilā ardhali al-ʿumur, wa-aʿūdhu bika min fitnati al-dunyā, wa-aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābi al-qabr.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from miserliness, cowardice, being returned to the most feeble stage of life, the trial of worldly life, and the punishment of the grave.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمَنَا، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ بِعِبَادِكَ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنَا إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونِينَ وَلَا فَاتِنِينَ.

allāhumma innā nasʾaluka fiʿla al-khayrāt, wa-tarka al-munkarāt, wa-ḥubba al-masākīn, wa-an taghfira lanā wa-tarḥamanā, wa-idhā aradta bi-ʿibādika fitnatan fa-qbiḍnā ilayka ghayra maftūnīna wa-lā fātinīn.
O Allah, we ask You to enable us to do good deeds, leave evil deeds, love the poor, and that You forgive us and have mercy on us. If You will a trial for Your servants, then take us to You without being tested and without causing trial.

• رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا.

rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa-dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyun, wa-jʿalnā lil-muttaqīna imāmā.
Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and descendants comfort for our eyes, and make us leaders for the God-conscious.

Relationship with the Quran

Quran as Light and Healing

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ، وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ، وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ. أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ، سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ، أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قَلْبِي، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي، وَجَلَاءَ حُزْنِي، وَذَهَابَ هَمِّي.

allāhumma innī ʿabduk, wa-bnu ʿabdik, wa-bnu amatik, nāṣiyatī bi-yadik, māḍin fiyya ḥukmuk, ʿadlun fiyya qaḍāʾuk. asʾaluka bi-kulli ismin huwa lak, sammayta bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fī kitābik, aw ʿallamtahu aḥadan min khalqik, aw istaʾtharta bihi fī ʿilmi al-ghaybi ʿindak, an tajʿala al-qurʾāna rabīʿa qalbī, wa-nūra ṣadrī, wa-jalāʾa ḥuznī, wa-dhahāba hammī.
O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is carried out, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that is Yours, by which You named Yourself, revealed in Your Book, taught to any of Your creation, or kept with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen, to make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrow, and the reliever of my distress.

Quranic Protection

• قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ، مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ.

qul aʿūdhu bi-rabbi al-falaq, min sharri mā khalaq, wa-min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab, wa-min sharri al-naffāthāti fī al-ʿuqad, wa-min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of what He created, from the evil of darkness when it settles, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.

• قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ، مَلِكِ النَّاسِ، إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ، مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ، الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ، مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ.

qul aʿūdhu bi-rabbi al-nās, maliki al-nās, ilāhi al-nās, min sharri al-waswāsi al-khannās, alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri al-nās, mina al-jinnati wal-nās.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers into the hearts of mankind, from among jinn and mankind.

Obedience and Worship

Establishing Prayer and Worship

• رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ، وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي، رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ.

rabbi ijʿalnī muqīma al-ṣalāh, wa-min dhurriyyatī, rabbanā wa-taqabbal duʿāʾ.
My Lord, make me one who establishes prayer, and also from my descendants. Our Lord, accept my supplication.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذِكْرِكَ، وَشُكْرِكَ، وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ.

allāhumma aʿinnā ʿalā dhikrika, wa-shukrika, wa-ḥusni ʿibādatik.
O Allah, help us remember You, thank You, and worship You in the best way.

Doing What Pleases Allah

• رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ، وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ، وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ.

rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa-ʿalā wālidayya, wa-an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāh, wa-adkhilnī bi-raḥmatika fī ʿibādika al-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your blessing which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You. Admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيمَانًا دَائِمًا، وَعِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَيَقِينًا صَادِقًا، وَدِينًا قَيِّمًا، وَالْعَافِيَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ، وَتَمَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ، وَدَوَامَ الْعَافِيَةِ، وَالشُّكْرَ عَلَى الْعَافِيَةِ، وَالْغِنَىٰ عَنِ النَّاسِ.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka īmānan dāʾimā, wa-ʿilman nāfiʿā, wa-yaqīnan ṣādiqā, wa-dīnan qayyimā, wal-ʿāfiyata min kulli baliyyah, wa-tamāma al-ʿāfiyah, wa-dawāma al-ʿāfiyah, wal-shukra ʿalā al-ʿāfiyah, wal-ghinā ʿani al-nās.
O Allah, I ask You for lasting faith, beneficial knowledge, true certainty, upright religion, well-being from every trial, complete well-being, lasting well-being, gratitude for well-being, and independence from people.

Steadfastness on the Religion

• اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِيَ الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِيَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي، وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ.

allāhumma aṣliḥ lī dīniya alladhī huwa ʿiṣmatu amrī, wa-aṣliḥ lī dunyāya allatī fīhā maʿāshī, wa-aṣliḥ lī ākhiratiya allatī fīhā maʿādī, wa-jʿali al-ḥayāta ziyādatan lī fī kulli khayr, wa-jʿali al-mawta rāḥatan lī min kulli sharr.
O Allah, set right for me my religion, which is the safeguard of my affairs; set right for me my worldly life, in which is my livelihood; set right for me my Hereafter, to which is my return; make life an increase for me in every good, and make death a relief for me from every evil.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا، وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ.

allāhumma aḥsin ʿāqibatanā fī al-umūri kullihā, wa-ajirnā min khizyi al-dunyā wa-ʿadhābi al-ākhirah.
O Allah, make the outcome of all our affairs good, and protect us from disgrace in this world and punishment in the Hereafter.

Forgiveness for Yourself

Pardon and Repentance

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي.

allāhumma innaka ʿafuwwun tuḥibbu al-ʿafwa fa-ʿfu ʿannī.
O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love pardon, so pardon me.

• أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، الْحَيَّ الْقَيُّومَ، وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ.

astaghfiru allāha al-ʿaẓīma alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa, al-ḥayya al-qayyūm, wa-atūbu ilayh.
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent, besides whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I turn to Him in repentance.

• لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، سُبْحَانَكَ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ.

lā ilāha illā anta, subḥānak, innī kuntu mina al-ẓālimīn.
There is no god except You. Glory be to You. I was among the wrongdoers.

• رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا، لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ.

rabbanā ẓalamnā anfusanā, wa-in lam taghfir lanā wa-tarḥamnā, la-nakūnanna mina al-khāsirīn.
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ.

allāhumma innī ẓalamtu nafsī ẓulman kathīrā, wa-lā yaghfiru al-dhunūba illā ant, fa-ghfir lī maghfiratan min ʿindik, wa-rḥamnī, innaka anta al-ghafūru al-raḥīm.
O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself, and none forgives sins except You. Forgive me with forgiveness from Yourself and have mercy on me. You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

• رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي وَجَهْلِي، وَإِسْرَافِي فِي أَمْرِي كُلِّهِ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي. اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطَايَايَ، وَعَمْدِي، وَجَهْلِي، وَهَزْلِي، وَكُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ عِنْدِي.
  اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ، وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ، وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ، وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

rabbi ighfir lī khaṭīʾatī wa-jahlī, wa-isrāfī fī amrī kullih, wa-mā anta aʿlamu bihi minnī. allāhumma ighfir lī khaṭāyāya, wa-ʿamdī, wa-jahlī, wa-hazlī, wa-kullu dhālika ʿindī. allāhumma ighfir lī mā qaddamtu, wa-mā akhkhartu, wa-mā asrartu, wa-mā aʿlantu, anta al-muqaddim, wa-anta al-muʾakhkhir, wa-anta ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
My Lord, forgive my sin, my ignorance, my excess in all of my affairs, and what You know better than I. O Allah, forgive my mistakes, what I did deliberately, my ignorance, and my jesting; all of that is with me. O Allah, forgive what I have sent ahead, what I have left behind, what I have hidden, and what I have made public. You are the One who brings forward and the One who delays, and You have power over all things.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ.

allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayya, wa-abūʾu laka bi-dhanbī, fa-ghfir lī, fa-innahū lā yaghfiru al-dhunūba illā ant.
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no god except You. You created me and I am Your servant. I remain upon Your covenant and promise as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

Forgiveness for Parents and Family

Parents

• رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا.

rabbi irḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā.
My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.

• رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ.

rabbanā ighfir lī wa-li-wālidayya wa-lil-muʾminīna yawma yaqūmu al-ḥisāb.
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the account is established.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدِينَا، وَارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّوْنَا صِغَارًا، اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُمْ مِنْ آبَائِنَا وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا فَارْفَعْ دَرَجَاتِهِمْ عِنْدَكَ، وَأَكْرِمْ مَثْوَاهُمْ، وَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ، يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

allāhumma ighfir lanā wa-li-wālidaynā, wa-rḥamhumā kamā rabbawnā ṣighārā. allāhumma man tawaffaytahum min ābāʾinā wa-ummahātinā fa-rfaʿ darajātihim ʿindak, wa-akrim mathwāhum, wa-tajāwaz ʿan sayyiʾātihim, yā rabba al-ʿālamīn.
O Allah, forgive us and our parents, and have mercy on them as they raised us when we were small. O Allah, those of our fathers and mothers whom You have taken in death, raise their ranks with You, honor their resting place, and overlook their sins, Lord of all worlds.

Children, Spouses, and Descendants

• رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً، إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ.

rabbi hab lī min ladunka dhurriyyatan ṭayyibah, innaka samīʿu al-duʿāʾ.
My Lord, grant me from Yourself good offspring. You are the Hearer of supplication.

• اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ أُمُورَنَا، وَفَرِّجْ هُمُومَنَا، وَاسْتُرْ عُيُوبَنَا، وَأَصْلِحْ أَحْوَالَنَا، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدِينَا، وَتَوَفَّنَا وَأَنْتَ رَاضٍ عَنَّا يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

allāhumma yassir umūranā, wa-farrij humūmanā, wa-stur ʿuyūbanā, wa-aṣliḥ aḥwālanā, wa-ghfir lanā wa-li-wālidaynā, wa-tawaffanā wa-anta rāḍin ʿannā yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.
O Allah, ease our affairs, relieve our worries, conceal our faults, set our conditions right, forgive us and our parents, and take us in death while You are pleased with us, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

Forgiveness and Mercy for Others

General Pardon and Mercy

• رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا، وَارْحَمْنَا، وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

rabbanā āmannā, fa-ghfir lanā, wa-rḥamnā, wa-anta khayru al-rāḥimīn.
Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best of those who show mercy.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ، فَاعْفُ عَنَّا.

allāhumma innaka ʿafuwwun tuḥibbu al-ʿafwa fa-ʿfu ʿannā.
O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love pardon, so pardon us.

• اللَّهُمَّ قَدْ وَقَفْنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ خَائِفِينَ، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا اللَّهُ، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا اللَّهُ، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا اللَّهُ.

allāhumma qad waqafnā bayna yadayka khāʾifīn, fa-ghfir lanā yā allāh, fa-ghfir lanā yā allāh, fa-ghfir lanā yā allāh.
O Allah, we stand before You in fear, so forgive us, O Allah; forgive us, O Allah; forgive us, O Allah.

• اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَرُدَّنَا خَائِبِينَ، وَآتِنَا أَفْضَلَ مَا تُؤْتِي عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ، وَلَا تَصْرِفْنَا عَنْ بَحْرِ جُودِكَ خَاسِرِينَ، وَلَا ضَالِّينَ وَلَا مُضِلِّينَ، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

allāhumma lā taruddanā khāʾibīn, wa-ātinā afḍala mā tuʾtī ʿibādaka al-ṣāliḥīn, wa-lā taṣrifnā ʿan baḥri jūdika khāsirīn, wa-lā ḍāllīna wa-lā muḍillīn, wa-ghfir lanā ilā yawmi al-dīn, bi-raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.
O Allah, do not send us back disappointed. Grant us the best of what You grant Your righteous servants. Do not turn us away from the ocean of Your generosity as losers, nor as those who are astray or lead others astray. Forgive us until the Day of Judgment, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي هَذَا الۡيَومِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ أَنْ تُعْتِقَ رِقَابَنَا وَرِقَابَ وَالِدِينَا مِنَ النَّارِ.

allāhumma innā nasʾaluka fī hādhihi al-laylati al-mubārakati an tuʿtiqa riqābanā wa-riqāba wālidīnā mina al-nār.
O Allah, we ask You on this blessed night to free us and our parents from the Fire.

Forgiveness for the Believers

• رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا، رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ.

rabbanā ighfir lanā wa-li-ikhwāninā alladhīna sabaqūnā bil-īmān, wa-lā tajʿal fī qulūbinā ghillan lilladhīna āmanū, rabbanā innaka raʾūfun raḥīm.
Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers and sisters who preceded us in faith, and do not place in our hearts resentment toward those who believe. Our Lord, You are Kind and Merciful.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ، وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ، الْأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْأَمْوَاتِ.

allāhumma ighfir lil-muslimīna wal-muslimāt, wal-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināt, al-aḥyāʾi minhum wal-amwāt.
O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and women, and the believing men and women, the living among them and the dead.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِآبَائِنَا وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا، وَأَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا، وَلِسَائِرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي مَشَارِقِ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبِهَا، يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

allāhumma ighfir li-ābāʾinā wa-ummahātinā, wa-azwājinā wa-dhurriyyātinā, wa-li-sāʾiri al-muslimīna fī mashāriqi al-arḍi wa-maghāribihā, yā rabba al-ʿālamīn.
O Allah, forgive our fathers and mothers, our spouses and descendants, and all Muslims in the east and west of the earth, Lord of all worlds.

Seeking Refuge and Protection

Protection from Weakness and Harm

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ، وَالْقِلَّةِ، وَالذِّلَّةِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-faqr, wal-qillah, wal-dhillah, wa-aʿūdhu bika an aẓlima aw uẓlam.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity, and humiliation, and I seek refuge in You from wronging others or being wronged.

• بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ.

bismi allāh, bismi allāh, bismi allāh, aʿūdhu bi-llāhi wa-qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa-uḥādhir.
In the Name of Allah, in the Name of Allah, in the Name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and fear.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ.

allāhumma anta al-salām, wa-minka al-salām, tabārakta yā dhā al-jalāli wal-ikrām.
O Allah, You are Peace and from You is peace. Blessed are You, Possessor of majesty and honor.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ، لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ، أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِكَ.

allāhumma aʿūdhu bi-riḍāka min sakhaṭik, wa-bi-muʿāfātika min ʿuqūbatik, wa-aʿūdhu bika mink, lā uḥṣī thanāʾan ʿalayk, anta kamā athnayta ʿalā nafsik.
O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, in Your pardon from Your punishment, and in You from You. I cannot fully praise You; You are as You have praised Yourself.

Protection from Major Trials

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْغِنَىٰ، وَشَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ.

allāhumma innā naʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābi jahannam, wa-min ʿadhābi al-qabr, wa-min sharri fitnati al-ghinā, wa-sharri fitnati al-faqr, wa-min fitnati al-maḥyā wal-mamāt, wa-min sharri fitnati al-masīḥi al-dajjāl.
O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, the evil trial of wealth, the evil trial of poverty, the trials of life and death, and the evil trial of the False Messiah.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ، عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ، مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ كُلِّهِ، عَاجِلِهِ وَآجِلِهِ، مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ،
  اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا سَأَلَكَ مِنْهُ عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَاذَ بِهِ عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ،
  اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ، وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَمَا قَرَّبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ عَمَلٍ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ كُلَّ قَضَاءٍ قَضَيْتَهُ لِي خَيْرًا.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka mina al-khayri kullihi, ʿājilihī wa-ājilihī, mā ʿalimtu minhu wa-mā lam aʿlam. wa-aʿūdhu bika mina al-sharri kullihi, ʿājilihī wa-ājilihī, mā ʿalimtu minhu wa-mā lam aʿlam. allāhumma innī asʾaluka min khayri mā saʾalaka minhu ʿabduka wa-nabiyyuk, wa-aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ʿādha bihi ʿabduka wa-nabiyyuk. allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-jannah, wa-mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamal, wa-aʿūdhu bika mina al-nār, wa-mā qarraba ilayhā min qawlin aw ʿamal, wa-asʾaluka an tajʿala kulla qaḍāʾin qaḍaytahu lī khayran.
O Allah, I ask You for all good, immediate and delayed, what I know of it and what I do not know. I seek refuge in You from all evil, immediate and delayed, what I know of it and what I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good Your servant and Prophet asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the evil from which Your servant and Prophet sought refuge. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and whatever brings one nearer to it in word or deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and whatever brings one nearer to it in word or deed. I ask You to make every decree You have ordained for me good.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-ʿajzi wal-kasal, wal-bukhli wal-jubn, wa-ḍalaʿi al-dayn, wa-ghalabati al-rijāl.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, incapacity and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by people.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَاءِ، وَدَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ، وَسُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min jahdi al-balāʾ, wa-daraki al-shaqāʾ, wa-sūʾi al-qaḍāʾ, wa-shamātati al-aʿdāʾ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from severe trial, the reach of misery, an evil decree, and the gloating of enemies.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ.

allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min zawāli niʿmatik, wa-taḥawwuli ʿāfiyatik, wa-fujāʾati niqmatik, wa-jamīʿi sakhaṭik.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessing, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all of Your displeasure.

Well-being and Guarding

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ، وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي،
  اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-ʿafwa wal-ʿāfiyah fī al-dunyā wal-ākhirah. allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-ʿafwa wal-ʿāfiyah fī dīnī wa-dunyāya, wa-ahlī wa-mālī. allāhumma ustur ʿawrātī, wa-āmin rawʿātī. allāhumma iḥfaẓnī min bayni yadayya, wa-min khalfī, wa-ʿan yamīnī, wa-ʿan shimālī, wa-min fawqī, wa-aʿūdhu bi-ʿaẓamatika an ughtāla min taḥtī.
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken unexpectedly from beneath me.

• اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا بِعَيْنِكَ الَّتِي لَا تَنَامُ، وَبِرُكْنِكَ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ، اللَّهُمَّ اكْشِفِ الْغُمَّةَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ، يَا ذَا الْفَضْلِ وَالْمِنَّةِ.

allāhumma iḥfaẓnā bi-ʿaynika allatī lā tanām, wa-bi-ruknika alladhī lā yurām, allāhumma ikshifi al-ghummata ʿan hādhihi al-ummah, yā dhā al-faḍli wal-minnah.
O Allah, protect us with Your eye that never sleeps and Your support that cannot be overcome. O Allah, lift distress from this ummah, Possessor of favor and grace.

• اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلِ ابْتِلَائِي فِي جَسَدِي، وَلَا فِي مَالِي، وَلَا فِي أَهْلِي، وَسَهِّلْ عَلَيَّ مَا اسْتَثْقَلَتْهُ نَفْسِي.

allāhumma lā tajʿali ibtilāʾī fī jasadī, wa-lā fī mālī, wa-lā fī ahlī, wa-sahhil ʿalayya mā istathqalat-hu nafsī.
O Allah, do not place my trial in my body, wealth, or family, and make easy for me what my soul finds heavy.

• رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا، رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا، رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ، وَاعْفُ عَنَّا، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا، وَارْحَمْنَا، أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا، فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ.

rabbanā lā tuʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭaʾnā, rabbanā wa-lā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣran kamā ḥamaltahu ʿalā alladhīna min qablinā, rabbanā wa-lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih, wa-ʿfu ʿannā, wa-ghfir lanā, wa-rḥamnā, anta mawlānā, fa-nṣurnā ʿalā al-qawmi al-kāfirīn.
Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place upon us a burden like the one You placed upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

Asking for Rizq and Blessing

Lawful Sufficiency

• اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.

allāhumma ātinā fī al-dunyā ḥasanah, wa-fī al-ākhirati ḥasanah, wa-qinā ʿadhāba al-nār.
O Allah, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

• اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ.

allāhumma ikfinī bi-ḥalālika ʿan ḥarāmik, wa-aghninī bi-faḍlika ʿamman siwāk.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful against what You have forbidden, and enrich me by Your favor so I need none besides You.

• رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ.

rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.
My Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ.

allāhumma innī asʾaluka min faḍlika wa-raḥmatik, fa-innahū lā yamlikuhā illā ant.
O Allah, I ask You from Your favor and mercy, for none possesses them except You.

• اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا، حَلَالًا، طَيِّبًا، مِنْ غَيْرِ كَدٍّ، وَاسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِي مِنْ غَيْرِ رَدٍّ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَالدَّيْنِ.

allāhumma urzuqnī rizqan wāsiʿan, ḥalālan, ṭayyiban, min ghayri kadd, wa-stajib duʿāʾī min ghayri radd, wa-aʿūdhu bika mina al-faqri wal-dayn.
O Allah, provide me with broad, lawful, wholesome provision without hardship. Answer my supplication without rejection, and I seek refuge in You from poverty and debt.

• اللَّهُمَّ سَخِّرْ لِي رِزْقِي، وَاعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الْحِرْصِ وَالتَّعَبِ فِي طَلَبِهِ، وَمِنْ شُغْلِ الْهَمِّ، وَمِنَ الذُّلِّ لِلْخَلْقِ. اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي رِزْقًا حَلَالًا، وَعَجِّلْ لِي بِهِ، يَا نِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُ.

allāhumma sakhkhir lī rizqī, wa-ʿṣimnī mina al-ḥirṣi wal-taʿabi fī ṭalabih, wa-min shughl al-hamm, wa-mina al-dhulli lil-khalq. allāhumma yassir lī rizqan ḥalālan, wa-ʿajjil lī bih, yā niʿma al-mujīb.
O Allah, make my provision easy for me, protect me from greed and exhausting pursuit of it, from being consumed by worry, and from humiliation before creation. O Allah, make lawful provision easy for me and hasten it for me. You are the best to answer.

• اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي رِزْقًا لَا تَجْعَلْ لِأَحَدٍ فِيهِ مِنَّةً عَلَيَّ، وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَلَيَّ فِيهِ تَبِعَةٌ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

allāhumma urzuqnī rizqan lā tajʿal li-aḥadin fīhi minnatan ʿalayya, wa-lā fī al-ākhirati ʿalayya fīhi tabiʿah, bi-raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.
O Allah, provide me with provision in which no one has a favor over me, and for which there is no liability upon me in the Hereafter, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

Provision, Blessing, and Divine Favor

• اللَّهُمَّ يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالْعَطَايَا، سُبْحَانَ مَنْ قَسَمَ الْأَرْزَاقَ وَلَمْ يَنْسَ أَحَدًا، اجْعَلْ يَدِي عُلْيَا بِالْإِعْطَاءِ، إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

allāhumma yā bāsiṭa al-yadayn bil-ʿaṭāyā, subḥāna man qasama al-arzāqa wa-lam yansa aḥadā, ijʿal yadī ʿulyā bil-iʿṭāʾ, innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
O Allah, O You who extend Your hands with gifts, glory be to the One who apportions provision and forgets no one. Make my hand uppermost through giving. You have power over all things.

• اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ، تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ، وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ، وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ، وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ، بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ، إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.
  رَحْمَٰنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَرَحِيمَهُمَا، تُعْطِيهِمَا مَنْ تَشَاءُ، وَتَمْنَعُ مِنْهُمَا مَنْ تَشَاءُ، ارْحَمْنِي رَحْمَةً تُغْنِينِي بِهَا عَنْ رَحْمَةِ مَنْ سِوَاكَ.

allāhumma mālika al-mulk, tuʾtī al-mulka man tashāʾ, wa-tanziʿu al-mulka mimman tashāʾ, wa-tuʿizzu man tashāʾ, wa-tudhillu man tashāʾ, bi-yadika al-khayr, innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. raḥmāna al-dunyā wal-ākhirati wa-raḥīmahumā, tuʿṭīhimā man tashāʾ, wa-tamnaʿu minhumā man tashāʾ, irḥamnī raḥmatan tughnīnī bihā ʿan raḥmati man siwāk.
O Allah, Owner of dominion, You give dominion to whom You will and remove dominion from whom You will. You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good; You have power over all things. Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, and Merciful in both, You give them to whom You will and withhold them from whom You will. Have mercy on me with a mercy that makes me need no mercy from anyone besides You.

• اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَرَبَّ الْأَرْضِ، وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَىٰ، وَمُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ.
  اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ، وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ، اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ، وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ.

allāhumma rabba al-samāwāt, wa-rabba al-arḍ, wa-rabba al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīm, rabbanā wa-rabba kulli shayʾ, fāliqa al-ḥabbi wal-nawā, wa-munzila al-tawrāti wal-injīli wal-furqān, aʿūdhu bika min sharri kulli shayʾin anta ākhidhun bi-nāṣiyatih. allāhumma anta al-awwalu fa-laysa qablaka shayʾ, wa-anta al-ākhiru fa-laysa baʿdaka shayʾ, wa-anta al-ẓāhiru fa-laysa fawqaka shayʾ, wa-anta al-bāṭinu fa-laysa dūnaka shayʾ, iqḍi ʿannā al-dayn, wa-aghninā mina al-faqr.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the Mighty Throne, our Lord and Lord of everything, Splitter of the seed and date-stone, Revealer of the Torah, Gospel, and Furqan, I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You hold. O Allah, You are the First and nothing is before You; You are the Last and nothing is after You; You are the Manifest and nothing is above You; You are the Hidden and nothing is beneath You. Settle our debts and enrich us from poverty.

Relief from Calamities and Trials

Relief from Grief and Distress

• اللَّهُمَّ ابْسُطْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ، وَرَحْمَتِكَ، وَفَضْلِكَ، وَرِزْقِكَ.

allāhumma ibsuṭ ʿalaynā min barakātik, wa-raḥmatik, wa-faḍlik, wa-rizqik.
O Allah, spread over us Your blessings, mercy, favor, and provision.

• اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو، فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَىٰ نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ.

allāhumma raḥmataka arjū, fa-lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ʿayn, wa-aṣliḥ lī shaʾnī kullah, lā ilāha illā ant.
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye. Set all of my affairs right. There is no god except You.

• رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي.

rabbi ishraḥ lī ṣadrī, wa-yassir lī amrī.
My Lord, expand my chest and make my affair easy for me.

• حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ.

ḥasbiya allāhu wa-niʿma al-wakīl.
Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs.

• نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ.

niʿma al-mawlā wa-niʿma al-naṣīr.
Excellent is the Protector, and excellent is the Helper.

• رَبِّ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ، وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

rabbi annī massaniya al-ḍurr, wa-anta arḥamu al-rāḥimīn.
My Lord, harm has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

• إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي، وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا.

innā li-llāhi wa-innā ilayhi rājiʿūn, allāhumma ʾjurnī fī muṣībatī, wa-akhlif lī khayran minhā.
We belong to Allah and to Him we return. O Allah, reward me in my affliction and replace it for me with something better.

• اللَّهُمَّ يَا فَارِجَ الْهَمِّ، وَيَا كَاشِفَ الْغَمِّ، يَا رَحْمَٰنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَرَحِيمَهُمَا، نَسْأَلُكَ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ تُغْنِينَا بِهَا عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ.

allāhumma yā fārija al-hamm, wa-yā kāshifa al-ghamm, yā raḥmāna al-dunyā wal-ākhirati wa-raḥīmahumā, nasʾaluka raḥmatan min ʿindika tughnīnā bihā ʿamman siwāk.
O Allah, Reliever of worry and Remover of grief, Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter and Merciful in both, we ask You for mercy from Yourself that makes us need none besides You.

• يَا فَارِجَ الْغَمِّ، اجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِي فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا، يَا سَامِعَ كُلِّ شَكْوَىٰ، وَيَا كَاشِفَ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ، أَدْعُوكَ دُعَاءَ مَنْ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهُ، وَضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتُهُ، وَقَلَّتْ حِيلَتُهُ.

yā fārija al-ghamm, ijʿal lī min amrī farajan wa-makhrajā, yā sāmiʿa kulli shakwā, wa-yā kāshifa kulli karb, adʿūka duʿāʾa man ishtaddat fāqatuh, wa-ḍaʿufat quwwatuh, wa-qallat ḥīlatuh.
O Reliever of distress, make for me relief and a way out in my affair. O Hearer of every complaint and Remover of every hardship, I call upon You with the supplication of one whose need is intense, whose strength is weak, and whose means are few.

• اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي مَا أَهَمَّنِي، وَمَا لَا أَهْتَمُّ لَهُ، اللَّهُمَّ زَوِّدْنِي بِالتَّقْوَىٰ، وَاغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي، وَوَجِّهْنِي لِلْخَيْرِ أَيْنَمَا تَوَجَّهْتُ،
  اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْنِي لِلْيُسْرَىٰ، وَجَنِّبْنِي الْعُسْرَىٰ، وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ كُلِّ مَا أَهَمَّنِي وَكَرَبَنِي فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا.

allāhumma ikfinī mā ahammanī, wa-mā lā ahtammu lah, allāhumma zawwidnī bil-taqwā, wa-ghfir lī dhanbī, wa-wajjihnī lil-khayri aynamā tawajjaht, allāhumma yassirnī lil-yusrā, wa-jannibnī al-ʿusrā, wa-jʿal lī min kulli mā ahammanī wa-karabanī farajan wa-makhrajā.
O Allah, suffice me concerning what worries me and what I do not worry about. O Allah, supply me with piety, forgive my sin, and direct me to good wherever I turn. O Allah, make ease easy for me, keep hardship away from me, and make relief and a way out from everything that worries and distresses me.

• رَبِّ لَا تَحْجُبْ دَعْوَتِي، وَلَا تَرُدَّ مَسْأَلَتِي، وَلَا تَدَعْنِي بِحَسْرَتِي، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَىٰ حَوْلِي وَقُوَّتِي، وَارْحَمْ عَجْزِي، فَقَدْ ضَاقَ صَدْرِي، وَتَاهَ فِكْرِي، وَتَحَيَّرْتُ فِي أَمْرِي، وَأَنْتَ الْعَالِمُ بِسِرِّي وَجَهْرِي، الْمَالِكُ لِنَفْعِي وَضَرِّي، الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ تَفْرِيجِ كَرْبِي وَتَيْسِيرِ عُسْرِي.

rabbi lā taḥjub daʿwatī, wa-lā tarudda masʾalatī, wa-lā tadaʿnī bi-ḥasratī, wa-lā takilnī ilā ḥawlī wa-quwwatī, wa-rḥam ʿajzī, faqad ḍāqa ṣadrī, wa-tāha fikrī, wa-taḥayyartu fī amrī, wa-anta al-ʿālimu bi-sirrī wa-jahrī, al-māliku li-nafʿī wa-ḍarrī, al-qādiru ʿalā tafrīji karbī wa-taysīri ʿusrī.
My Lord, do not veil my supplication, do not reject my request, do not leave me in regret, and do not leave me to my own power and strength. Have mercy on my weakness, for my chest has tightened, my thought has wandered, and I am confused in my affair. You know my private and public state. You own my benefit and harm, and You are able to relieve my distress and ease my hardship.

Ease, Strength, and Support

• اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَشْكُو ضَعْفَ قُوَّتِي، وَقِلَّةَ حِيلَتِي، وَهَوَانِي عَلَى النَّاسِ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ، إِلَىٰ مَنْ تَكِلُنِي؟ إِلَىٰ عَدُوٍّ يَتَجَهَّمُنِي، أَمْ إِلَىٰ قَرِيبٍ مَلَّكْتَهُ أَمْرِي؟ إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ غَضْبَانًا عَلَيَّ فَلَا أُبَالِي، إِنَّ عَافِيَتَكَ أَوْسَعُ لِي.

allāhumma ilayka ashkū ḍaʿfa quwwatī, wa-qillata ḥīlatī, wa-hawānī ʿalā al-nās, yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn, ilā man takilunī? ilā ʿaduwwin yatajahhamunī, am ilā qarībin mallaktahu amrī? in lam takun ghaḍbāna ʿalayya fa-lā ubālī, inna ʿāfiyataka awsaʿu lī.
O Allah, to You I complain of my weakness, my lack of means, and my lowliness before people, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. To whom will You entrust me: to an enemy who treats me harshly, or to a close one whom You have given power over my affair? If You are not angry with me, I do not mind, for Your protection is vast enough for me.

• اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْنَا الْمُتَّسَعَ وَالْيُسْرَ فِي كُلِّ أُمُورِنَا.

allāhumma ballighnā al-mutasaʿa wal-yusra fī kulli umūrinā.
O Allah, bring us spaciousness and ease in all of our affairs.

• رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدَيْنَا، وَلِوَالِدِ وَالِدَيْنَا، وَلِمَنْ لَهُمْ حُقُوقٌ عَلَيْنَا،
  اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ ضَعْفَنَا، وَاقْضِ حَوَائِجَنَا، وَفَرِّجْ كُرُوبَنَا، وَاقْضِ دُيُونَنَا، وَفَرِّجْ هُمُومَنَا، وَاصْرِفْ عَنَّا سُوءَ الْمِحَنِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ.

rabbanā ighfir lanā wa-li-wālidaynā, wa-li-wālidi wālidaynā, wa-liman lahum ḥuqūqun ʿalaynā. allāhumma irḥam ḍaʿfanā, wa-qḍi ḥawāʾijanā, wa-farrij kurūbanā, wa-qḍi duyūnanā, wa-farrij humūmanā, wa-ṣrif ʿannā sūʾa al-miḥani mā ẓahara minhā wa-mā baṭan.
Our Lord, forgive us, our parents, our grandparents, and those who have rights over us. O Allah, have mercy on our weakness, fulfill our needs, relieve our hardships, settle our debts, remove our worries, and turn away from us the evil of trials, both apparent and hidden.

Dua for the Deceased

For a Loved One

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ/لَهَا وَارْحَمْهُ/ارْحَمْهَا، وَعَافِهِ/عَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ/عَنْهَا، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ/نُزُلَهَا، وَوَسِّعْ مَدْخَلَهُ/مَدْخَلَهَا، وَاغْسِلْهُ/اغْسِلْهَا بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهِ/نَقِّهَا مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ.

allāhumma ighfir lahu/lahā wa-irḥamhu/irḥamhā, wa-ʿāfihi/ʿāfihā wa-iʿfu ʿanhu/ʿanhā, wa-akrim nuzulahu/nuzulahā, wa-wassiʿ madkhalahu/madkhalahā, wa-ighsilhu/ighsilhā bi-al-māʾi wal-thalji wal-barad, wa-naqqihi/naqqihā mina al-khaṭāyā kamā yunaqqā al-thawbu al-abyaḍu mina al-danas.
O Allah, forgive him/her and have mercy on him/her, grant him/her well-being and pardon him/her. Honor his/her place of stay, widen his/her entrance, wash him/her with water, snow, and hail, and purify him/her from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt.

• وَأَبْدِلْهُ/أَبْدِلْهَا دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ/دَارِهَا، وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ/أَهْلِهَا، وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ/زَوْجِهَا، وَأَدْخِلْهُ/أَدْخِلْهَا الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ/أَعِذْهَا مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ.

wa-abdilhu/abdilhā dāran khayran min dārihi/dārihā, wa-ahlan khayran min ahlihi/ahlihā, wa-zawjan khayran min zawjihi/zawjihā, wa-adkhilhu/adkhilhā al-jannah, wa-aʿidhhu/aʿidhhā min ʿadhābi al-qabr, wa-min ʿadhābi al-nār.
Replace his/her home with a better home, his/her family with a better family, and his/her spouse with a better spouse. Admit him/her into Paradise, and protect him/her from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.

• اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ/ثَبِّتْهَا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ، وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ/دَرَجَتَهَا، وَاغْفِرْ خَطِيئَتَهُ/خَطِيئَتَهَا، وَثَقِّلْ مَوَازِينَهُ/مَوَازِينَهَا.

allāhumma thabbithu/thabbithā bil-qawli al-thābit, wa-rfaʿ darajatahu/darajatahā, wa-ghfir khaṭīʾatahu/khaṭīʾatahā, wa-thaqqil mawāzīnahu/mawāzīnahā.
O Allah, make him/her firm with the firm word, raise his/her rank, forgive his/her sin, and make his/her scales heavy.

• اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ/ارْحَمْهَا وَاغْفِرْ لَهُ/لَهَا، وَآنِسْ وَحْشَتَهُ/وَحْشَتَهَا، وَوَسِّعْ قَبْرَهُ/قَبْرَهَا.

allāhumma irḥamhu/irḥamhā wa-ghfir lahu/lahā, wa-ānis waḥshatahu/waḥshatahā, wa-wassiʿ qabrahu/qabrahā.
O Allah, have mercy on him/her and forgive him/her, comfort his/her loneliness, and widen his/her grave.

• اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ قَبْرَهُ/قَبْرَهَا رَوْضَةً مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهُ/تَجْعَلْهَا حُفْرَةً مِنْ حُفَرِ النَّارِ.

allāhumma ijʿal qabrahu/qabrahā rawḍatan min riyāḍi al-jannah, wa-lā tajʿalhu/tajʿalhā ḥufratan min ḥufari al-nār.
O Allah, make his/her grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and do not make it a pit from the pits of the Fire.

All Deceased Muslims

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا. اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ، وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ.

allāhumma ighfir li-ḥayyinā wa-mayyitinā, wa-ṣaghīrinā wa-kabīrinā, wa-dhakarinā wa-unthānā, wa-shāhidinā wa-ghāʾibinā. allāhumma man aḥyaytahu minnā fa-aḥyihi ʿalā al-īmān, wa-man tawaffaytahu minnā fa-tawaffahu ʿalā al-islām.
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our young and our old, our males and our females, those present and those absent. O Allah, whoever among us You keep alive, keep alive upon faith; and whoever among us You take in death, take in death upon Islam.

• اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِ مَرْضَانَا وَمَرْضَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَارْحَمْ مَوْتَانَا وَمَوْتَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ، وَاجْعَلْ قُبُورَهُمْ رَوْضَةً مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجِنَانِ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهَا حُفْرَةً مِنْ حُفَرِ النِّيرَانِ.

allāhumma ishfi marḍānā wa-marḍā al-muslimīn, wa-rḥam mawtānā wa-mawtā al-muslimīn, wa-adkhilhum fī raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn, wa-jʿal qubūrahum rawḍatan min riyāḍi al-jinān, wa-lā tajʿalhā ḥufratan min ḥufari al-nīrān.
O Allah, heal our sick and the sick among the Muslims. Have mercy on our dead and the dead among the Muslims. Admit them into Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy, and make their graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise, not pits from the pits of the Fire.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُمْ، وَارْحَمْهُمْ، وَعَافِهِمْ، وَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُمْ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُمْ، وَاغْسِلْهُمْ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهِمْ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُمْ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِمْ، وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِمْ، وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِمْ، وَأَدْخِلْهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ.

allāhumma ighfir lahum, wa-rḥamhum, wa-ʿāfihim, wa-ʿfu ʿanhum, wa-akrim nuzulahum, wa-wassiʿ mudkhalahum, wa-ghsilhum bil-māʾi wal-thalji wal-barad, wa-naqqihim mina al-dhunūbi wal-khaṭāyā kamā yunaqqā al-thawbu al-abyaḍu mina al-danas, wa-abdilhum dāran khayran min dārihim, wa-ahlan khayran min ahlihim, wa-zawjan khayran min zawjihim, wa-adkhilhum al-jannah, wa-aʿidhhum min ʿadhābi al-qabr, wa-min ʿadhābi al-nār.
O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, grant them well-being, pardon them, honor their arrival, widen their entrance, wash them with water, snow, and hail, purify them from sins and mistakes as a white garment is purified from dirt, replace their home with a better home, their family with a better family, and their spouse with a better spouse, admit them to Paradise, and protect them from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.

Duas for the Believers and the Ummah

Unity and Reconciled Hearts

• رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا، وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا، وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا، وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ.

rabbanā ighfir lanā dhunūbanā, wa-isrāfanā fī amrinā, wa-thabbit aqdāmanā, wa-nṣurnā ʿalā al-qawmi al-kāfirīn.
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excess in our affairs, make our feet firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

• اللَّهُمَّ زِدْنَا وَلَا تَنْقُصْنَا، وَأَكْرِمْنَا وَلَا تُهِنَّا، وَأَعْطِنَا وَلَا تَحْرِمْنَا، وَآثِرْنَا وَلَا تُؤْثِرْ عَلَيْنَا، وَأَرْضِنَا وَارْضَ عَنَّا.

allāhumma zidnā wa-lā tanquṣnā, wa-akrimnā wa-lā tuhinnā, wa-aʿṭinā wa-lā taḥrimnā, wa-āthirnā wa-lā tuʾthir ʿalaynā, wa-arḍinā wa-rḍa ʿannā.
O Allah, increase us and do not decrease us; honor us and do not humiliate us; give to us and do not deprive us; prefer us and do not prefer others over us; make us pleased and be pleased with us.

• اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ، وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ، وَأَلِّفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ، وَاجْعَلْ قُلُوبَهُمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ خِيَارِهِمْ.

allāhumma ighfir lil-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināt, wal-muslimīna wal-muslimāt, wa-allif bayna qulūbihim, wa-jʿal qulūbahum ʿalā qulūbi khiyārihim.
O Allah, forgive the believing men and women and the Muslim men and women. Bring their hearts together, and make their hearts firm upon the hearts of the best among them.

Relief and Strength for the Ummah

• اللَّهُمَّ انْصُرِ الْإِسْلَامَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ.

allāhumma unṣuri al-islāma wal-muslimīn.
O Allah, grant victory to Islam and the Muslims.

• اللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الْإِسْلَامَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَدَمِّرْ أَعْدَاءَ الدِّينِ، وَاجْعَلْ هَذَا الْبَلَدَ آمِنًا مُطْمَئِنًّا، وَسَائِرَ بِلَادِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.

allāhumma aʿizza al-islāma wal-muslimīn, wa-adhilla al-shirka wal-mushrikīn, wa-dammir aʿdāʾa al-dīn, wa-jʿal hādhā al-balada āminan muṭmaʾinnan, wa-sāʾira bilādi al-muslimīn.
O Allah, honor Islam and the Muslims, abase shirk and those who practice it, destroy the enemies of the religion, and make this land and all Muslim lands safe and secure.

• اللَّهُمَّ ارْفَعِ الْغُمَّةَ عَنِ الْأُمَّةِ الْإِسْلَامِيَّةِ، إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

allāhumma irfaʿi al-ghummata ʿani al-ummati al-islāmiyyah, innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
O Allah, lift hardship from the Muslim ummah. You have power over all things.

• اللَّهُمَّ كُنْ لِإِخْوَانِنَا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ،
  اللَّهُمَّ حَرِّرِ الْأَقْصَى، وَارْزُقْنَا صَلَاةً فِيهِ قَبْلَ الْمَمَاتِ.

allāhumma kun li-ikhwāninā al-mustaḍʿafīna fī kulli makān, allāhumma ḥarriri al-aqṣā, wa-rzuqnā ṣalātan fīhi qabla al-mamāt.
O Allah, be with our oppressed brothers and sisters everywhere. O Allah, free al-Aqsa, and grant us prayer there before death.

Closing Duas

Comprehensive Good

• رَبِّ أَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلًا مُبَارَكًا، وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ.

rabbi anzilnī munzalan mubārakan, wa-anta khayru al-munzilīn.
My Lord, settle me in a blessed place, and You are the best of those who settle.

Acceptance and Final Praise

• اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ، وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ.

allāhumma taqabbal minnā, innaka anta al-samīʿu al-ʿalīm, wa-tub ʿalaynā, innaka anta al-tawwābu al-raḥīm.
O Allah, accept from us; You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. Turn to us in forgiveness; You are the Accepter of repentance, the Most Merciful.

• اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا وَقَفْنَا بِبَابِكَ، فَلَا تَرُدَّنَا خَائِبِينَ، وَلَا مِنْ خَزَائِنِ جُودِكَ مَحْرُومِينَ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

allāhumma innā waqafnā bi-bābik, fa-lā taruddanā khāʾibīn, wa-lā min khazāʾini jūdika maḥrūmīn, bi-raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.
O Allah, we stand at Your door, so do not turn us away disappointed or deprived of the treasures of Your generosity, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

Salawat on the Prophet

• اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ.

allāhumma ṣalli wa-sallim ʿalā nabiyyinā muḥammad, wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi ajmaʿīn.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all of his family and companions.

• اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ عَدَدَ مَا ذَكَرَهُ الذَّاكِرُونَ، وَعَدَدَ مَا غَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ الْغَافِلُونَ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ.

allāhumma ṣalli wa-sallim wa-bārik ʿalā sayyidinā muḥammadin ʿadada mā dhakarahu al-dhākirūn, wa-ʿadada mā ghafala ʿan dhikrihi al-ghāfilūn, wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi ajmaʿīn.
O Allah, send prayers, peace, and blessings upon our master Muhammad as many times as those who remember have remembered him, and as many times as the heedless have neglected his remembrance, and upon all of his family and companions.

• اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ. اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad, wa-ʿalā āli muḥammad, kamā ṣallayta ʿalā ibrāhīm, wa-ʿalā āli ibrāhīm, innaka ḥamīdun majīd. allāhumma bārik ʿalā muḥammad, wa-ʿalā āli muḥammad, kamā bārakta ʿalā ibrāhīm, wa-ʿalā āli ibrāhīm, innaka ḥamīdun majīd.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are Praiseworthy and Majestic. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are Praiseworthy and Majestic.

• وَصَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَىٰ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ،
  وَآخِرُ دَعْوَانَا أَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

wa-ṣalli allāhumma wa-sallim wa-bārik ʿalā nabiyyinā muḥammad, wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-ṣaḥbih, wa-ākhiru daʿwānā ani al-ḥamdu li-llāhi rabbi al-ʿālamīn.
O Allah, send prayers, peace, and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions. The last of our supplication is that all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds.
