The Prophet ﷺ at Arafat before revelation
[AI] I indeed saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before revelation was sent down to him, while I was standing on a camel of mine, and he was standing on a camel of his at Arafat with some people of his tribe, until he departed with them.
This hadith has a sound chain of transmission. It has been narrated from someone other than Jubayr ibn Mutim with a similar meaning but with wording other than this. The hadith of Jubayr is more firmly established and more authentic. As for the hadith of Amr ibn Dinar, we do not know of anyone who narrated it from him except Ibn Uyaynah, and we do not know that Amr ibn Dinar narrated from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim, from his father, except two hadiths: this one, concerning which there is no disagreement, and the other, concerning which there is disagreement.
