[Machine] The difficult Ibn Jathama gave the Prophet ﷺ a wild donkey as a gift, while it is prohibited to accept. The Prophet ﷺ returned it and said, "If it were not for the fact that we are prohibited, we would have accepted it from you."  

البيهقي:٩٩٣١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ح وَأنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أَهْدَى الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنَّا مُحْرِمُونَ لَقَبِلْنَاهُ مِنْكَ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ وَخَالَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ فَرَوَاهُ كَمَا
