Sa'dan said in his narration, "Then I remained silent and became upset." Yahya ibn Al-Rabi'a said, "Sufyan says, 'Who dares to criticize the mother of the believers?'"
أَنَّهَا اعْتَمَرَتْ فِي سَنَةٍ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قُلْتُ هَلْ عَابَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا أَحَدٌ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ سَعْدَانُ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ قَالَ فَسَكَتَ وَانْقَمَعْتُ وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَقُولُ مَنْ يَعِيبُ عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؟
