[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever is not prevented by illness, obvious need, or unjust ruler, and does not perform Hajj, then let him die as a Jew or a Christian, if he wishes." And even though its chain of narration is not strong, there is a witness from the words of Umar ibn Al-Khattab.  

البيهقي:٨٦٦٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ شَاذَانُ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَابِطٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْبِسْهُ مَرَضٌ أَوْ حَاجَةٌ ظَاهِرَةٌ أَوْ سُلْطَانٌ جَائِرٌ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ فَلْيَمُتْ إِنْ شَاءَ يَهُوَدِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا وَهَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ إِسْنَادُهُ غَيْرَ قَوِيٍّ فَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ قَوْلِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ
