[Machine] 'Ubaidah said, "If a person travels while having fasted part of Ramadan, then they should continue fasting for the remaining days." He recited this verse, "So whoever sights the month, let him fast it." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185) Abu Al-Bakhtari said, "Ibn Abbas said, and he was the most knowledgeable among us, whoever wishes can fast, and whoever wishes can break their fast."  

البيهقي:٨١٧٧أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ عُبَيْدَةُ إِذَا سَافَرَ الرَّجُلُ وَقَدْ صَامَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ شَيْئًا فَلْيَصُمْ مَا بَقِيَ قَالَ وَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ} [البقرة 185] قَالَ وَقَالَ أَبُو الْبَخْتَرِيُّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَكَانَ أَفْقَهَ مِنَّا مَنْ شَاءَ صَامَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَفْطَرَ
