[Machine] When Khālid ibn al-Walīd died, the women of Banū al-Mughīrah gathered and wept over him. It was said to ʿUmar, “Send for them, for nothing from them will reach you that you would dislike.” ʿUmar said, “There is no harm in their shedding their tears for Abū Sulaymān, so long as it is not with dust-throwing or wailing.”
لَمَّا مَاتَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ اجْتَمَعَ نِسْوَةُ بَنِي الْمُغِيرَةِ يَبْكِينَ عَلَيْهِ فَقِيلَ لِعُمَرَ ؓ أَرْسِلْ إِلَيْهِنَّ فَإِنَّهُنَّ لَا يَبْلُغْكَ عَنْهُنَّ شَيْءٌ تَكْرَهُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مَا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَنْ يَهْرِقْنَ دُمُوعَهُنَّ عَلَى أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ نَقْعًا أَوْ لَقْلَقَةً
