BAYHAQI 4410:
from Muḥammad b. Abū Ḥarmalah a freed slave of ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Sufyān b. Ḥūwayṭib —
[Machine] Zainab bint Umm Salamah passed away and Tariq, the prince of the city, brought her funeral after the Fajr prayer and she was buried in Al-Baqi'. Tariq used to make ghusl (ritual bath) in the morning. Ibn Abi Haramalah said, "I heard Abdullah ibn Umar saying to her family, 'Either you pray over her now, or you leave her until the sun rises.'" It was narrated in this regard from Abu Burzah al-Aslami and Anas ibn Malik al-Ansari. Some of those who advocated this opinion cited the hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir from the Prophet ﷺ regarding the prohibition of prayer and visiting the grave during the three times, and that hadith is authentic. And with Allah is the success.
