[Machine] The sun became covered during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he sent a caller who called for a congregational prayer. The people gathered and he led them in four units of prayer, with four prostrations in each unit. Then he recited the Tashahhud and made the Salam. This narration is found in the authentic hadith, reported by Muhammad ibn Mihran from Al-Walid ibn Muslim.  

البيهقي:٦٣٠١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنبأ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةٌ فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِأَرْبَعِ سَجَدَاتٍ ثُمَّ تَشَهَّدَ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ
