[Machine] He was with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , in battle and the prayer was called, so the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , stood up and formed a row of his followers behind him. Another group stood up, facing the enemy. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed with them one Rak'ah and prostrated for them twice. Then those who prayed behind him left and occupied their positions, and another group came and prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and he prayed one Rak'ah with them and prostrated for them twice. Then the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , sat down, greeted those behind him, and they returned the greeting. Thus the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , performed two Rak'ahs and the people performed one Rak'ah, and then he recited the verse "And when you are among them and lead them in prayer" [Quran 4:102]. The Sheikh said: This is what is reported from Jabir, and if it is not appropriate to interpret what we mentioned, it can be assumed that it is a report about his prayer in the morning that he and others described, and that they performed their remaining Rak'ahs. It is also possible that it is related to a certain matter that some narrators have confirmed over others, so the confirmed saying and the principle of the obligation of number should be taken until it is proven that a decrease is permissible based on something that does not tolerate interpretation. أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَ الْقِتَالِ وَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَفَّ طَائِفَةٌ خَلْفَهُ وَقَامَتْ طَائِفَةٌ وُجُوهُهَا قِبَلَ وُجُوهِ الْعَدُوِّ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَسَجَدَ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ صَلُّوا خَلْفَهُ انْطَلَقُوا فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أُولَئِكَ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلُّوا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَسَجَدَ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَلَسَ فَسَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ وَسَلَّمُوا أُولَئِكَ فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَلِلْقَوْمِ رَكْعَةً رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ قَرَأَ يَزِيدُ {وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلَاةَ} [النساء 102] قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَهَذَا الَّذِي رُوِيَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ إِنْ كَانَ لَا يَحْتَمِلُ مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ مِنَ التَّأْوِيلِ فَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ خَبَرًا عَنْ صَلَاتِهِ فِي الْغَدَاةِ الَّتِي وَصَفَ هُوَ وَغَيْرُهُ صَلَاتَهُ فِيهَا وَأَنَّهُمْ قَضَوْا رَكْعَتَهُمُ الْبَاقِيَةَ وَيَكُونُ فِي حُكْمِ شَيْءٍ أَثْبَتَهُ بَعْضُ الرُّوَاةِ دُونَ بَعْضٍ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِقَوْلِ الْمُثْبِتِ وَالْأَصْلُ وَجُوبُ الْعَدَدِ حَتَّى يُثْبَتَ جَوَازُ النُّقْصَانِ عَنْهُ بِمَا لَا يَحْتَمِلُ التَّأْوِيلَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
