[Machine] And we found that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) expelled the Jews from the Arabian Peninsula and set a deadline for them three days. We witnessed three actions that a traveler should do, and four actions that are similar to what a resident should do. This is because if it was permissible for a traveler to do more than three actions, it would be similar to the actions of a resident. Therefore, if the Prophet ﷺ had instructed the emigrant to do them, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would have permitted the Jews. The scholar said, "As for the Hadith..."  

البيهقي:٥٤٥٦

وَوَجَدْنَا عُمَرَ ؓ أَجْلَى الْيَهُودَ مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَضَرَبَ لَهُمْ أَجَلًا ثَلَاثًا فَرَأَيْنَا ثَلَاثًا مِمَّا يُقِيمُ الْمُسَافِرُ وَأَرْبَعًا كَأَنَّهَا بِالْمُقِيمِ أَشْبَهُ لِأَنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ أَنْ يُقِيمَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ كَانَ شَبِيهًا أَنْ يَأْمُرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِهِ الْمُهَاجِرَ وَيَأْذَنَ فِيهِ عُمَرُ ؓ لِلْيَهُودِ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ فَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي
