[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "If you can, be behind the Imam, and if not, then to his right. This is how Abu Bakr and Umar were behind the Prophet ﷺ ."  

البيهقي:٥٢٠٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْمُحَمَّدَآبَاذِيُّ ثنا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْعَتَكِيُّ ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَكُونَ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ وَإِلَّا فَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا كَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
