[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying one night, reciting a verse repeatedly until he went into rukoo' (bowing) and sujood (prostration) with it. The verse was, "If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." [Surah Al-Ma'idah: 118] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, you continue to recite this verse until morning?" He said, "Indeed, I asked my Lord for intercession for my Ummah (nation) and it was granted to those who do not associate anything with Allah."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed one night and recited a verse until he kneeled and prostrated with it, which says, "If you should punish them - indeed they are your servants; but if you forgive them - indeed it is you who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise" [Al-Ma'idah 118]. When morning came, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, you continued to recite this verse until you kneeled and prostrated with it." He said, "Indeed, I asked my Lord for intercession for my Ummah (nation) and He granted it to me, and it is inclusive, if Allah wills, for those who do not associate anything with Allah."
