[Machine] Amr Al-Adib informed Abu Bakr Al-Isma'iliyy that the story was informed by Al-Firayabi. Qutaybah bin Sa'id and Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah both narrated it, and Abu Ya'la informed me that Abu Khaythamah said that Sufyan informed us that Amr bin Dinar heard Amr bin Aws Al-Thaqafi say, "I heard Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As say, 'The Messenger of Allahﷺ said, "The most beloved fast to Allah is the fast of Dawud. He used to fast one day and break his fast the next. And the most beloved prayer to Allah is the prayer of Dawud. He used to sleep half of the night, stand for one third, and sleep for one sixth."' This is the wording of Al-Humaidi, and others have narrated it from different chains of narration.
