[Machine] The immigrants did not perform two units of prayer before sunset prayer, while the Ansar used to perform them. Anas said that they used to perform them in this way. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib said that it has been narrated from Abdur Rahman ibn Auf that he said, "We used to perform them," and he was from the immigrants, as if he meant someone else or the majority of them.  

كَانَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَكَانَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ يَرْكَعُونَهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ يَرْكَعُهُمَا كَذَا قَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَقَدْ رُوِّينَا عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنَّا نَرْكَعُهُمَا وَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَكَأَنَّهُ أَرَادَ غَيْرَهُ أَوِ الْأَكْثَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ
