[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik say, "A Bedouin asked in the mosque, so the people rushed to him, so the Prophet ﷺ forbade them and said, 'Pour a bucket of water on him.'"
4236 And Abu Sa'id al-Khatib informed us, narrating from Abu Bahar al-Barbahari, narrating from Bashr ibn Musa, narrating from al-Humaidi, narrating from Sufyan, mentioning it in a similar way.
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ بَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَعَجَّلَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ فَنَهَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ صُبُّوا عَلَيْهِ دَلْوًا مِنْ مَاءٍ 4236 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخَطِيبُ ثنا أَبُو بَحْرٍ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ
