[Machine] There was a man who had not performed ablution, O Commander of the Faithful, while you were reciting. Umar asked, "Who gave you this fatwa on this matter?" It was narrated by Hisham from Ibn Sirin from Abu Maryam Iyas ibn Subayh, who said, "I was with Umar, and he mentioned the meaning of it, and Al-Bukhari mentioned it in his book Al-Tareekh."  

البيهقي:٤٢١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ مَهْرَوَيْهِ الْعَدْلُ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبُوشَنْجِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ نا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ كَانَ فِي قَوْمٍ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ فَقَامَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ فَقَالَ

لَهُ رَجُلٌ لَمْ تَوَضَّأْ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنْتَ تَقْرَأُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ مَنْ أَفْتَاكَ بِهَذِهِ الْمَسْأَلَةِ؟ وَرَوَاهُ هِشَامٌ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ إِيَاسِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَذَكَرَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي التَّارِيخِ
