[Machine] Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, led the people in morning prayer and recited Surah Al-Baqarah. Umar said to him, "The sun has become dim by the time it rises." Abu Bakr replied, "If it had risen, we would not have found ourselves unaware."  

البيهقي:٤٠١٥أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ؓ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ الصُّبْحَ فَقَرَأَ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ كَرُبَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ فَقَالَ لَوْ طَلَعَتْ لَمْ تَجِدْنَا غَافِلِينَ وَبِمَعْنَاهُ  

رَوَاهُ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَقَالَ كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ
