[Machine] "So you did not read, so he repeated the prayer 3983 times. And Abu Nasr narrated, Abu Muhammad narrated, Mu'adh narrated from Kamil, from Hammad, from Ibn Awun, from Al-Sha'bi, that Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari said to Umar ibn Al-Khattab, 'O Amir al-Mu'minin, did you not read within yourself?' He said, 'No.' So he commanded the mu'adhdhin and they called the adhan and established the prayer again with them. And these narrations are transmitted from Ibrahim and Al-Sha'bi, as Al-Shafi'i said, and the narration of Abu Salamah, and if it is transmitted, it is the most correct chains of transmission. And his hadith in Al-Madinah, in the place of the incident, as Al-Shafi'i said, no one denies it except that the hadith of Al-Sha'bi is traced back to another source, and repeating the prayer is more similar to the Sunnah in the obligation of recitation, and that it does not fall due to forgetfulness like the other pillars."
