[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ making dua like this, and he placed his hands on his knees while sitting. The sheikh said, and Uqbah, the brother of Sa'id ibn 'Ubaid al-Tai, narrated that he saw Anas ibn Malik praying while sitting. And Omar also narrated it from him, a sheikh from the Ansar.
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا وَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَهُوَ مُتَرَبِّعٌ جَالِسٌ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَقَدْ رَوَى عُقْبَةُ أَخُو سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّائِيِّ أَنَّهُ رَأَى أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُصَلِّي مُتَرَبِّعًا وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا عَنْهُ عُمَرُ شَيْخٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ
