[Machine] They performed ablution and prayed, then they rode the animal. When it was time for the Dhuhr prayer, they removed it with the best dye. They did not neglect their ablution, as the wives of the Prophet ﷺ used to apply perfume after the last night prayer.  

البيهقي:٣٦٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَوْ رَجُلٌ آخَرَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الْخِضَابِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أُخْبِرُكَ كَيْفَ تَخْتَضِبُ نِسَاؤُنَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ يَعْنِي الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ يَرْكَبْنَ الْخِضَابَ فَيَنَمْنَ فَإِذَا كَانَ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ نَزَعْنَهُ

فَتَوَضَّأْنَ وَصَلَّيْنَ ثُمَّ رَكِبْنَهُ فَإِذَا كَانَ صَلَاةُ الظُّهْرِ نَزَعْنَهُ بِأَحْسَنِ خِضَابٍ فَلَا يُشْغَلْنَ عَنْ وُضُوءٍ فَإِنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُنَّ يَخْتَضِبْنَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ
