[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you is in prayer, he should not spit in front of him, for indeed he is facing his Lord. Nor should he spit to his right, but rather to his left or beneath his left foot. However, if he is unable, then he may spit to the side of his garment and then move the garment with part of it touching another part." Abu Hurairah said, "It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ moving his garment with part of it touching another part."  

البيهقي:٣٥٩٣وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أنبأ هُشَيْمٌ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَبْزُقَنَّ أَمَامَهُ فَإِنَّهُ مُسْتَقْبِلٌ رَبَّهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلَكِنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى فَإِنْ لَمْ يَقْدِرْ فَلْيَبْزُقْ فِي نَاحِيَةِ ثَوْبِهِ ثُمَّ يَرُدَّ ثَوْبَهُ بَعْضَهُ بِبَعْضٍ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَرُدُّ ثَوْبَهُ بَعْضَهُ بِبَعْضٍ
