[Machine] "The glorification is for men and applause is for women. And whoever makes a gesture in his prayer that is understood from him, then he should repeat it." Ali said: Ibn Abi Dawud told us, Abu Ghatfan is an unknown man, and the addition at the end of the hadith is an addition in the hadith, perhaps it is from the saying of Ibn Ishaq. And the authentic narration from the Prophet, ﷺ , is that he used to make gestures in prayer."  

البيهقي:٣٤٢٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ الْمُرِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ

اللهِ ﷺ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسْوَانِ وَمَنْ أَشَارَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ إِشَارَةً تُفْهَمُ عَنْهُ فَلْيُعِدْهَا قَالَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ لَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ أَبُو غَطَفَانَ هَذَا رَجُلٌ مَجْهُولٌ وَآخِرُ الْحَدِيثِ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَلَعَلَّهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُشِيرُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ  

رَوَاهُ أَنَسٌ وَجَابِرٌ وَغَيْرُهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَعَائِشَةُ ؓ
