[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was praying while his garment was hanging low, so the Prophet ﷺ tucked it up for him. Abu Abdullah Al-Haafiz informed us, Abu Al-Hasan ibn Abu Amr As-Sammak narrated to us, Abu Al-Qasim Al-Baghawi narrated to us, Abu Al-Rabi' Al-Zahrani narrated to us, Hafs ibn Abu Dawood mentioned it to us, except that Hafs is weak in hadith and we have written it from the hadith of Ibrahim ibn Tahman from Al-Haytham. So if it is preserved, then it is better than the narration of Hafs Al-Qari, and Ali disliked it in some matters.  

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي قَدْ سَدَلَ ثَوْبَهُ فَعَطَفَهُ عَلَيْهِ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو السَّمَّاكُ ثنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ فَذَكَرَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّ حَفْصًا ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ كَتَبْنَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ فَإِنْ كَانَ مَحْفُوظًا فَهُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ حَفْصٍ الْقَارِي وَقَدْ كَرِهَهُ عَلِيٌّ ؓ فِيمَا
