[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was supplicating against Mudar, Gabriel came to him and gestured for him to be silent, so he remained silent. Then Gabriel said, "O Muhammad, indeed Allah did not send you as a reviler or a curser, but rather He sent you as a mercy. He did not send you as a punishment. 'It is not within your power to guide them, or to turn them back, or to punish them while they are wrongdoers.' (Quran 3:128)." Then he taught him this supplication:
"O Allah, we seek Your help, and we seek Your forgiveness, and we believe in You, and we submit to You, and we disassociate ourselves and we leave aside those who deny You. O Allah, it is only You that we worship, and to You we pray, and prostrate, and seek, and hasten to, and hope for Your mercy, and fear Your punishment, and fear Your severe punishment. Indeed, Your severe punishment will reach the disbelievers. This is a message, and it has been narrated from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, and it is authentic and connected."
