[Machine] He described the Prophet's ﷺ ablution, saying that when he performed ablution, he would wipe his ears with water. Abu Umamah said, "The ears are part of the head." Sulaiman ibn Harb said, "The ears are part of the head. This statement is from Abu Umamah. Whoever says otherwise has changed or altered a word that Sulaiman said, in other words, made a mistake."  

البيهقي:٣١٣بِمَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أنا عَلِيٌّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ خُشَيْشٍ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سِنَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّهُ وَصَفَ وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ كَانَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ مَسَحَ مَاقَيْهِ بِالْمَاءِ وَقَالَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ فَمَنْ قَالَ غَيْرَ هَذَا فَقَدْ بَدَّلَ أَوْ كَلِمَةً قَالَهَا سُلَيْمَانُ أَيْ أَخْطَأَ
